Expanding the "post-reply" box

The message box is very small, can it be enlarged? On other forums there are arrow buttons that make it larger or smaller. I find it quite hard to post replies because the box is ever so small vertically. Not for quick-reply but for the "main" box. I think the Quick-Reply box also needs to be enlarged.

What I meant was also an "enlarge/shrink this box" button with per-user preference. Surely that should be relatively easy?
