      Salaam Wakas,

Mashaallah. Thank you for those dictionaries, those are really great. I personally like Thomas Patrick Hughes as it has the romanization.

        Salaam,

Apparently, the Dictionaries and Grammar Books are available for only viewing online and not for downloading. But I still think that it's awesome that they have these things available online like this (especially Hans-Wehr and Al-Mawrid).

Thanx for posting these links Wakas.

        Peace,
        Damon.

LOL, I know how to download files off the internet. I downloaded Al Mawrid and Hans Wehr and they are both damaged files and could not be repaired. brickwall

                peace Damon,

I downloaded the Hans Wehr file and it worked for me. Can you be more specific about the problem you encountered?

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Well I downloaded it and when I tried to open it for viewing, the specific message that pops up is There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. So I just said 'oh well' and left it at that. giveup

You may need a newer version of Adobe Acrobat?

                      peace,

Yeah you might need the latest version. Download it form their site.

If no help, re-download the file, as there may have been an error first time round.

Yes, that must be it. I have Dial-Up '(

Each time I downloaded the files, my internet service had disconnected a couple of times and when I re-connected to the net and tried to download again, it appeared to have picked up where it left off, but this may well be the cause of the file being damaged beyond repair. I really don't know if the adobe version I have is the problem because I am able to view them both online with no problem at all (other than the expected slowness that comes with dial up).

                          peace Damon,

If you are able to view it online (assuming all of it downloads in the opened window) then you can save the pdf file, save etc.

If you need to resume large file downloads, please try the software discussed on the following sites
                          http//www.studyquran.co.uk/LLhome.htm

                              peace bro,

Well, when I open a pdf in a browser window (as long as it has downloaded fully into the window) then you can save the pdf by using the save feature in Adobe (top left). I quite often use this, but not for large files.

                                Peace Wakas,

Thanx 4 the info. If it works, that's fine. If it doesn't, that's just as fine. I don't see myself as needing the dictionaries, simply as something nice that will go with my library that's all.
