"The Money Masters" documentary

Peace all,
This is a great documentary on money called "The Money Masters", and it goes well with the "Money as Debt" video I posted previously, providing the necessary background information.
It is 3 1/2 hours long, but very captivating.

Salam Mehdi,
Glad you enjoyed the link. Please forward to others you think are interested. I feel it is an extremely important topic. If you haven't had a chance to see Money as Debt, I would encourage you to watch that video as well. It clearly explains the evils of the present monetary system, as well as the evils of interest (which has been known to all humanity from Aristotle to the proponents of all monotheistic religions).

Yes, this is good. Articulated into film unprocessed thoughts that had been circulating in my head (e.g. on interest and why religions prohibit it).
Roshan
p.s. actually it was either this one or the money as debt film I am referring too (both were good, but I am specifically talking about the one that goes into goldsmiths, run on the bank, interest)

This nice ducumentary, but I have a bit of a problem with some of the evidence they show. Most of it is uncited and seeing as most people havent memorized presidential speeches I doutb anyone knows if Andrew Jackson actually said what the documentary claims. So if anyone has that it would be great.
At some part of the movie (I dont quite remember) they quote someone in the 30s referring to WWI as WWI, but WW2 hadnt broken until '39 so what the person would have actually said was THE GREAT WAR not WWI. Just something I noticed and thought was fishy...
Otherwise this shows the great problems interest and fractional reserve banking cause.
But I do have a question. If banks dont pracice fractional reserve banking and generate money using interest, how will they make money? Fees? confused

Peter Joseph talks about this in his documentary - ZeitgeistAddendum
http//video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7065205277695921912
Explaining the concept that if there is no debt there would be no money.
He also offers a solution called a 'resource based economy"

I see 2 faults with this video,
- A resource based economy is not possible in a finite world
- They seem pretty anti religion

I just finished watching "the money masters" documentary and I am impressed and much more educated.
This is possibly one of the most important documentaries of modern times.
Spread the word.
There are a lot of problems with the video, although the underlying message seems to be free of ill-intent. They've fudged some numbers and gone quote mining through history. I'll try compiling the mistakes when I get the time.

I did consider that but when I googled it, it was rare to find any criticism of it in terms of errors.
Oh yes, Critism of this movie and of ZeitgesitAddendum is very hard to find.
Seeing as they both try to talk about the money system, most rebuttals affect both movies.http//www.conspiracyscience.com/articles/zeitgeist/part-three/
It goes into detail about all the points made. The author has sources and logical arguments. Please let me know if you find any mistakes.

Salam,
Wow, an extremely long page trying to criticize Part III of Zeitgeist documentary, and in the middle somewhere you find a tiny paragraph about the Federal Reserve
"Apparently the film makers have a very small understanding of the Federal Reserve. Yes, it is a private corporation, however it is not as private as Federal Express. It is considered private because the decisions it makes do not necessarily have to be ratified by the President or anyone else in the executive or legislature. However, the Federal Reserve has a board of governors with seats for congressional officials. The Federal Reserve is also subject to heavy oversight from Congress. Therefore, it is not necessarily private or public, rather it is "independent within the government."
Heavy oversight? What a load of bollocks. Then the author goes on to say "therefore it is not necessarily private or public".
Hmmmm, oh yes, this has certainly changed my view of the Federal Reserve.
Anyone with some common sense left in them, (i.e. not still being brainwashed by the Jewish controlled media), can figure out that the monetary system is a scam, and only a very few individuals benefit. We have turned into slaves. Even worse than 2nd century slaves who were chained. This form of slavery dictates everything we do, even how we THINK.
If you still have doubts about Part III, then watch Part I of ZeitgeistAddendum. And see for yourself how the world is controlled by a select few, and how money and oil are stolen from the poor to feed the rich.

I have watched the last few minutes of "Zeitgeist Addendum", and to me it seems like they are socialist/communist who are trying to build a eutiopa. How can all of the good in the world be spread equally among people in the whole entire world?! It is impossible. There has to be a free market which go by the laws of supply and demand. Besides, if all goods were finite, then there would be no need for economics. Economics is the study of the distribution of scarce goods and services. Diem has stated the same.
The whole "boycott the political system" and "boycott energy companies" also seems non-sense to me. How are you going to make your house self-sustainable without the help of energy companies? Are you going to live in a hut that is lit by candles?! And how can you boycott the Democrats and Republicans? They are the two biggest parties in the US. Do you seriously think that the Green Party or whatever other party the US has will ever win an election?

Salaam,
My reference to ZeitgeistAddendum was to show how a few select individuals run the world. Not to its proposed solution to the sickness we live in. You are right, we cannot boycott the energy companies because they have us by the balls.
I think the key is abolishing profits. No company should benefit from providing the necessary to the people. Necessary being, water, food, energy and housing. Imagine if Shell, BP and Exxon were non-profit seeking companies. I feel certain wars would not have taken place.

Abolishing profits is wishful thinking. No company will ever stay innovative and efficient in the long run if it's primary objective is not to make profit. A perfect example of this was, and still, is the divide between East and West Germany. East Germany was seen as one of the most industrial and advanced of the Communist states within the USSR but after the collapse of the USSR, we really got to compare and see how the two sides were doing. The verdict? The East was MUCH worse off than the West. When you are not working for a profit, it is easy to stay with the status-quo, to never innovate and try to make things better. "Don't fix it if its not broken" attitude takes over. The truth of the matter is no matter how good something is - it can get better. This is an important basis for Capitalism. Now, no economic model is PERFECT and in theory there are many models that sound amazing (ex. Technocracy), but have never been tested and shown to work. In reality, what ever system we adopt - will probably be a mixture of many of the types of models that exist today.
Also, the reason that the Federal Reserve (FRS) is private is not because it is run by a dubious cartel of money-hungry bankers (which may or may not be true, I'm not here to debate that), its simply because it was based on a system of pure capitalism. People thought that ABSOLUTE State control over money was bad because it lead to hyper-inflation. A good example of this is the Weimar Republic, they printed money to pay off their wartime debts and as a result caused enormous amounts of inflation - to the point that people were taking home salaries in wheelbarrows. Sadly, the a function of the (capitalist) FRS is to make profit through interest. Although this practice, in my view is evil, it is a part of capitalism (among other systems) and like I said before, what ever system you adopt, it will have to adapt, get rid of it's negative points and change with the ever moving world.
I am not saying that what the FRS does is good, but please do not go out on a limb and blame some secretive Jewish society bent on destroying the free world. That is the job of the Taliban.
Yes, money-loving corporations need to be reigned in and have oversight, but please don't suggest that the company that cleans/ships/supplies my water should not be profitable in the least. Profit doesn't always need to amount to big money. Just enough for reinvestment into infrastructure, R&D, talent.
Oh and keep in mind, your definition of "necessary to the people" might not match with that other people.
peace I'm going to sleep, it is 1217 AM over here. -

I agree with Diem. If you abolish profits, there would be no incentive for people to produce or sell any oil/energy.
Imagine you were the owner of an oil/energy company... You would have to buy some oil from a refinery first, before having any oil. This costs money. Next, you would have to advertise your company, and yes, you guessed it - it costs money. You have to pay all your employees - again, you have to spend A LOT of money on their wages.Now... do you think you would want to give away your oil for free??!!
If it was like that, then you would lose a lot of money and your business/company would collapse.
Besides, the oil supply in the world would decline DRASTICALLY, since you just give it away.
Imagine that every oil company did this... They would be bankrupt in no time and the oil supplies would run out like Usain Bolt.Think about it.. We dont want communism!
