"Crying" when you hear the Quran recited?

The "Crying when the Quran is recited" is reffering to the expression of the people among the people of the book who called themselves Nazharra.
These "Nazharra" people are actually "Nozirith" in Hebrew, or the Jewish Christians.
The Jewish Christians a.k.a Nozirith is a group of people who is longing for a "salvation" from their God.They don't fare well at that time,
- The Al-Yahudu (The Rabbanical Judaism) hates them, hunt them, declare them as a murtadeen (Infidel)
- The Catholics hates them, hunt them, declare them as a murtadeen (Infidel)
- The Orthodox hates them, hunt them, declare them as a murtadeen (Infidel)
So these Nozirith people are the "Ultimate Infidel" at that time, hated and hunted by many group of people/sects among the people of the book.
And they don't posses the political backing as other sect does. (Al-Yahudu=Persian, Catholics=Western Roman, Orthodox=Eastern Rome/Byzantium)Thus you can understand their "Crying" (Cry Of Joy) when they hear the Quran, thus a sign that they haven't been forgotten by their God.
And they now have God and His messenger and the messenger's friends as their "Political Backing".Salam

I was once chatting with an English lady who never spoke to a muslim before (!), and we just brushed religion when I read to her (in English, of course) a verse (494) (in support of whatever I was saying) and the woman's face turned red and was struggling controlling the flow of tears from her eyes.
So, yosemenite, you don't have to read a verse in Arabic to be overwhelmed. -
i've never felt emotional while reading the quran.
The translation of the quran really matters to me.
some translation of the quran have a profound effect on me, and some translations really piss me off.
Quran cannot be translated in letter and spirit.Quran is only in Arabic.
Translations and transliterations are only helping tools.
This is the reason many people are cheating and deceiving others through translations and they do not dare post exact arabic text lest their intentions are exposed. -
Nor (is there blame) on those who came to thee to be provided with mount, and when thou saidst "I can find no mounts for you," they turned back, their eyes streaming with tears of grief that they had no resources wherewith to provide the expenses. 992
Those were some of the prophets on whom Allah did bestow His Grace of the posterity of Adam, and of those whom We carried (in the Ark) with Noah, and of the posterity of Abraham and Israel of those whom We guided and chose; whenever the Signs of (Allah) Most Gracious were rehearsed to them, they would fall down in prostrate adoration and in tears. 1958
And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth they pray "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses. (583)
The Story of Prophet Yaqub 'alayhis-salaam
The Prophet Ya'qub (peace be upon him) suspected foul play on the part of his sons. He bore with patience the mental torture to which he was subjected in his old age. He wept bitterly day and night and lost his eye-sight. After a long time he came to know that Prophet Yusuf (peace Be upon him) was alive. -

God willing I will never forget how I reacted the first time I accepted the Quran as the words of God. How I cried! Sure, it was a translation I was reading, but the echo of the real thing was enough to remove any doubt in my heart.
I sometimes tear up from hearing it recited in arabic, not because I understand that many of the words, but because I have an increasingly good idea of what the words actually convey. I get overcome by the feeling of God's great mercy in sending us the Book that is entirely true, for our guidance.Praise God.

@Leoxyz - So are you saying that after I am able to understand Arabic that at that point I will realize that I need other books and that only the Quran is not good enough? I thought the Quran is the actual words of Allah. I thought the Quran was protected by Allah. Does it not state that it is the only book needed and that there is no other like when it's read in Arabic? I hope that isn't true.
Sorry for getting off topic guys. I have never cried while reading the Quran but I have gotten emotional. I haven't actually shed tears yet.

I find that I cry when I get reminded of the greatness and mercy of God, whether the reminder comes from prayer, the Quran, or something else. Sometimes, maybe always, this reminder has come to me after I have been straying from the path for some time, not being mindful of God. It always feels good to weep before God, but for me it has sometimes felt like tears of repentance, and gratefulness. Maybe the tearless believers don't have as much straying as the weepy people to repent for, and not as much forgiveness to be personally grateful for?
God surely knows all, and I know so very little.
