Haroot and Maroot, persian names?

Ive read from an anti Islamic site that Haroot and Maroot, the malaika that taught people magic as a test, is of persian and not arabic origin. I can see how this can work against those Muslims that say that Arabic is the divine language. Ill take an estimate and say that most of us here do not think so. But this is just a question. Is Haroot and Maroot Persian names? I know that there are Armenians named Harout. Also, what are the meanings? Does it differ on regions, such as Armenia and Persia?

They were not angels but Good men and God call them angels and they were in Babel so it is possible these names are used in some areas of pak also but by women. angel nope

Even if a few words in the Holy Quran are not purely Arabic so what? What is the problem and what does it prove? Arabic itself is derived from some Phoenician language. For example the names of Israelite prophets are not purely Arabic words. The Holy Quran uses the word Israil, but this word has no meaning in the Arabic language, as it is an originally Hebrew word Yisra'El meaning Up to the standard of God.

Nice try, Gabrielle is the female version. Gabriel is a male-name. That has nothing to do with christianity or the bible whatsoever. If I named my girl Muhammad that means that all 'muslims' believe muhammad is a female? That's the kind of absurd logic you are using.
Btw, I know/have known many christians and ex-christians and they all believe that Gabriel as mentioned in the bible is a MALE

I believe that, but a lot of other Muslims believe that Arabic is the Language of God.

Perhaps your habit to take something out of the text and then deduce things is so deep rooted that instinctively you can't help doing it. She said the same thing what you have now said; didn?t you find some wit therein?
Some names are being referred as of non Arabic origin. If a non Arab?s proper name was to be mentioned in Quran could it be in Arabic?
Someone has said Arabic was evolved from some other language.
Can anything be created without first there being a language? Everything created is to be given simultaneously a name and a name is of some language. Allah created everything. Should it be presumed that He created things without assigning those things some names? -

Does the Quran say angels are men?
No, it doesn't either. Therefore, calling them men or women is equally wrong.and "women" is not synonymous to "female".

Angels are certainly not humans {} as stated by the Quran. So woman is a female, and some people assign female names to Angels. If feminine names {conventionally thought to be appropriate for a woman or girl} are not to be assigned to the Angels and their gender cannot and should not be considered as female/feminine. And daugters are certainly woman/females
