Compilation of the Quran
-
Though I would agree with you here but not wholly since ahadith and Quran are not the only sources in understanding the Islamic historical dimensions. On the contrary, all Quran alone groups would disagree with you here to the extent of mocking each other and throwing tempertantrums from the Quran, just like all Muslim sectarians would do to a non-Muslim as well.

Renown German Researcher, Christoph Luxenberg, Reveals Qur?an a Knockoff Of The Bible
The Renown German Researcher, Christoph Luxenberg, a world renown linguistic scholar, in his book clearly reveals that the Quran is nothing but a distorted knockoff of the inspired word of the true God (YHWH) of Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael, creator of all there is, the Bible. Here is just one example, but the interested individual can find many many pages of similars in his book.
<<<?Let's first look at what the Quran (Koran) says at Sura 347
Sura 347, "She said, "My Lord, how can I have a son, when no man has touched me?" He said, "GOD thus creates whatever He wills. To have anything done, He simply says to it, `Be,' and it is."
And, Sura 348 says, ""He will teach him the scripture, wisdom, the Torah, and the Gospel." Interestingly here the Quran (Koran) actually speaks of the first five (5) books of the Bible, the Torah; yet today many Muslims rail against the Bible from which their book the Quran (Koran) was plagiarized from.
Now the Bible says at Luke 135, "And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee wherefore also the holy thing which is begotten shall be called the Son of God." (American Standard Version; ASV).?>>>.
A short review of his book can be found in, "HUGOYE JOURNAL OF SYRIAC STUDIES," book review of Christoph Luxenberg (ps.) Die syro-aramaeische Lesart des Koran; Ein Beitrag zur Entschl?sselung der Qur'ansprache. Berlin, Germany Das Arabische Buch, First Edition, 2000. Pp. ix + 306, Vol. 6, No. 1, January 2003.
But to really get specific facts in great detail with advanced literary analysis one must read his book of 306 pages.
