I keep hearing about Deir Yassin massacre from die hard Palestinian supporters. However, so far I have not found clear evidence which show that the Israelis were responsible for the killings of about 120 Arab villagers. So can anyone provide any articlers which present convincing proofs?

      Peace to all,

Oh come on Jankre, you could at least check with wiki or google this stuff before you make silly statements. It was a massacre, it has been declared a massacre by several independent agencies, and the numbers of killed innocents is actually closer to 250.

They probably died in the middle of crossfire between Israeli and Arab forces in the village. Moreover, the eyewitness accounts contradict one another so it is hard to tell which one is truthful and which one is not.

Eyewitness accounts from villagers According to the Daily Telegraph, April 8 1998, Ayish Zeidan, a resident of the village and a survivor of the fighting there, stated "The Arab radio talked of women being killed and raped, but this is not true... I believe that most of those who were killed were among the fighters and the women and children who helped the fighters. The Arab leaders committed a big mistake. By exaggerating the atrocities they thought they would encourage people to fight back harder. Instead they created panic and people ran away.".

Jerusalem Report dated April 2 1998 described a BBC program in which Abu Mahmud resident of Dir Yassin in 1948 stated "... the villagers protested against the atrocity claims We said, "There was no rape." said, "We have to say this, so the Arab armies will come to liberate Palestine from the Jews..."

Khalidi was a prominent Palestinian Arab leader who pushed the editor of the Palestine Broadcasting Service's Arabic news in 1948, Hazem Nusseibeh, to make the most use of alleged atrocities in Dir Yassin.

Mohammed Radwan who fought in the battle "I know when I speak that God is up there and God knows the truth and God will not forgive the liars," said Radwan, who puts the number of villagers killed at 93, listed in his own handwriting. "There were no rapes. It's all lies. There were no pregnant women who were slit open. It was propaganda that... Arabs put out so Arab armies would invade," he said. "They ended up expelling people from all of Palestine on the rumor of Deir Yassin." This was reported by Paul Holmes, Middle East Times, 20-April-1998

Daily Mirror is a right wing Zionist newspaper, so do not take what it says at face value.

Jank Norman Finkelstein does a great job in refuting Zionist lies.

This article does not deny the existence of a massacre. They just say they exaggerated it so that Arab countries would intervene.

It is clear that they "think" that 93 victims do not make a massacre confused
Do you agree with them in this, too?

I agree there was a massacre, but who did it is more of the question actually.

                    Hi J,

                    http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deir_Yassin_massacre

                    wiki is zionised!

What does he say about this massacre?

Jank try reading one of his books.

I know this is not ideal but its the best i could get on the net.

After the Deir Yassin massacre that killed more than 250 Palestinian civilians in 1948, he signed a letter to the New York Times describing the Herut Party (aka Likud) as "closely akin in its organisation, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties". Its then-leader (and Israel's future prime minister) Menachem Begin, represented "fascist elements" in Israel, and his party had "openly preached the doctrine of the fascist state". So Einstein, would flunk the EUMC's "comparing Israeli policy to the Nazis" test.

                    Taken from http//www.normanfinkelstein.com/article.php?pg=11&ar=961

professor James Petras has even accused fink (and chomsky) of down playing the zionist stranglehold of america lol

You still have not shown me hard proofs that the Deir Yassin Massacre was done by the Israelis.

edit j shall we start at the beginning? do you need evidence to prove that Palestine was ethnically cleansed?

This must in thousands of sites in internet. If you look you will find it, but I suppose it is more comfortable for you to demand that somebody else does it and then you can judge, because for everybody else seems to be easier than for you, but there you are wrong. It is time and work to look for things. Of course it was a massacre on many people and of course were the israelis and of course it happenned and of course we are not walking electronic encyclopedias to provide the right set of couments at request. People here have already given several directions. I will give you one more adress where you will probably not find that, but from where you can probably get to other sites and eventually find what you want. Here it is

                          www.israelshamir.net

Best of luck with your search
