Can you explain to me how he got to this conclusion or do you believe him because he's Stephen Hawking (no offence to him with him being genius and all that)?

I don't believe him. Neither do I believe the paranormal. How he got to this conclusion, I can't help you but I do know it was an attempt to explain how information could be transmitted through the big-bang. In any case current evidence goes against a "big crunch" sort of universe. The quran predicts that the universe or at least heavens will undergo some kind of folding.

So in the near future if scientists have enough evidence to support obe/astral projection then it no longer remains paranormal?? Its funny how people run away from "paranormal" ideas because its not been proven YET. I'm not saying people should believe but be agnostic and experience or try to first hand before knocking it on the head because the scientific society have deemed it paranormal and not the norm!

In any case should obe/astral projection proven to be possible under controlled circumstances the JREF would pay out the 1M USD no matter whether the phenomenon after that is no longer called paranormal. It is clear that if any current, by definition termed paranormal claim, which the JREF has listed, is proven to be true they would have to payout and they said so, so theres no need for anyone to make excuses.
Would you then care to prove to James Randi that the afterlife of a new universe is a "fact" and get that million dollar since science hasn't proven the afterlife of a new universe exisiting after this universe. New universe after this one when u die? "Paranormal" or "scientific" you tell me because to me an afterlife/new universe is very paranormal to me!

JK- I believe bro "OPF" has answered this to some extent already. Moreover the Quran itself has proof for it being the Word of One Who knew what no one knew at the time of its revelation and if the same Being states thered be an afterlife, then the probability is high that this would be so even without this additional support by Stephen Hawkins. On the other hand the Quran does not mention any obes/astral projection and even condemns stuff like astrology whilst focussing mainly on natural law and us to ponder on them. GOD Bless!

Some things in life science can't explain and you only experience it subjectively. Hence why I'm saying to you to try it for yourself and see what the results are. Robert Bruce has a good book called Astral Dynamics and has a forum if you google it.

Whats astrology go to do with obe/astral projection brother. It would be beneficial for you to read up on this matter before passing judgement because clearly you don't have a clue comparing astrology to it.
So going by your logic if the Quran doesn't mention something it doesn't exist LOL!! You talk about natural law how do you know this isn't natural law of The God?? Science explains how things work it doesn't always discover it.

3942 God seizes the souls at the time of their death; and for those that have not died, during their sleep. He then keeps those that have been overtaken by death, and He sends the others back until a predetermined time. In that are signs for a people who will think.
If the above verses aren't to do with atral projection/obe then do you have a rational or more verifiable idea of what happened to the Prophet Muhammed?? If you goto your James Randi he would say that the Prophet Muhammed was deluded or suffering from some kind of psychological disorder. Me and you know quran is from The God but how would you explain objectively and rationally what happened to the Prophet Muhammed when he went to the highest point whatever that maybe.
Lastly how would you explain Prophet Yusuf interpreting dreams and they come out to be true?? If dreams are insignificant (as scientists make them out to be) why this story in the Quran showing dreams being future events? I think i've provided enough proof from the Quran to support my notion of astral projection/obe/dreams.

I agree, maybe Muhammad had some sort of astral projection or a lucid dream. It's a very plausible explanation. Whether what is projected/dreamt actually exists - that is a completely different matter. All the quran states is that he saw something while in another state. Twisting it any further is not good. But the only rational explanation for that would be lucid dreaming.

Thank you. At least your open to the possiblity of this and I completely agree twisting it any further isn't good but I can confidently say Prophet Muhammed astral projected to the furthest point by the will of The God from reading the verses.

JK- If it is merely subjective how can i even be sure that what i saw myself is true? This is exactly my pt. If i hear a voice in any of my dreams saying that this is GOD, does it actually mean that it was GOD or could my brain be playing tricks with me? Ofcourse the latter is very likely. What needs to be the case is that during such dreams i must receive a confirmation code which i can then compare in the real world once i get out of my dream. Eg in the dream the voice says tomorrow planet/comet named such and such will pass by another comet/planet by such and such degree. If the no i got in my dream comes out to be correct to say ten decimal places given then i can be very sure that what i heard is really significant. Its the same with astral projection. If it is anything else than a lucid dream, which is a virtual reality created in the brain, USING ONLY THE BRAIN'S STORED INFO, then tests would have to be taken whether the one experiencing OBEs could after awakening tell for example a randomly generated image which was created on a laptop near the tested person but which was hidden from his physical eyes. Such tests have been performed and NO ONE EVERY SUCCEEDED IN SUCH TESTS AS YET. GOD Bless!

what you're describing is travel with our physical bodies, why, we're gonna lose them after a few decades anyway, lets focus on our spiritual side, our soul, part of us that is eternal. that way we can experience more, travel great distances, reach our highest potential... there's so much out there man, it'd be a shame if we didn't (even try to) see it.Peace,
