Peace, to come back to wine, no i'm not insisting, but i dont want to call prohibited what is not explicitly called as prohibited. Christians always ask why do you not drink wine? When i used to reply that it's prohibited they'd always say 'oh yr religion is strict' they're kinda drawn away. Now i tell them that it's not prohibited but we've got to use our self control. If they take us as example then it's good. Cause remember. Many other things are NOT written as prohibited but we still dont do them. Anyway, i dont personally touch alcohol. I believe the more important is to worship God and not follow hadith. It's hard when you're the only one who's a quranaloner in yr family, who doesnt always understand.

Interesting... While at it appeasing Christian wine-addicts, why not appease the Sunni hadith-addicts too. Well, you might say, one is "devil's work" but the other "devil's worse work"? What if someone ask you about "adultery"? The magic word "haram" is not used for that either? What about incest? ...
I think, your line of thinking does not fit exactly the methodology of the Quran. Besides, history shows that those who cannot stand for the truth they believe, and wiggle around to attract crowds cannot cause major positive changes in their societies.
It is not increasing your numbers from 15 to 150 that would lead to a real transformation; it is the quality of the kernel activists, the clarity and sharpness of their minds, the reality of their goals, the strength of their determination, the compassion of their hearts... When they stand for justice and truth they are united with the strongest bond of all servants of God.

PS As for the name "tarikh" I really do not have an idea who he or she is. A guy/gal using the same nick name claiming similar events in the same country had contacted me in the past and posted many contradictory and occasionally angry statements at 19.org/forum. So, the word "tarikh" creates the following image in my mind a heterogeneous liquid as viscous as honey, while running down on a slanted base, changing moods and colors by the second, asking for help from people nearby against the obstacles on its way... Of course, with time the liquid could solidify partially and gain some form and predictable nature.... Let's see )

Recently a Sunni said in another thread that Quran is written by Satan this may be the reason they are calling us Satan followers but this way they are attacking the very person and his sahaba who first wrote this Quran and whom they love sooo much .so Sad... elektro

Are you serious? A Sunni said the Qur'an was written by Satan? Are they on drugs or something. I can't believe a Muslim would say that?!!! confused

Before I found Free-minds I used to watch public speakers in Turkey giving lectures and debates on TV programmes about Islam using Quran only as a source. These people were never attacked because deep down even the hardest of secutarians were reminded about what the Quran says. I am sure they have had death threats from mindless individuals etc... However, what we must be reminded here is that when we speak in the forum about Islam, first we must be respectful to the religion, do not insult anyone no matter how we might feel personally about them, provide evidence for our debates and don't attack. We have a responsibility for our actions, because if one of us say something which is incorrect, abusive etc then we are all labelled as we are uses of this forum and anyone seeing from the outside in can label us all as sharing the same ideas. I am sure the newspaper claiming this has seen something which is not right by maybe a few mindless individuals. As a result they have labelled everyone as been like them. We are no different, I have seen on this forum people claiming each other as been possessed, satanic, kafir etc. So anyone whose own opinions are appossed this is a very common reaction. How do we correct this? First we must correct this from within, meaning correct ourselves. Take a good look at ourselves and say how do we model our behaviour. How do we treat each other and how we attack others. A good example is 19'ers. We may not agree with them etc but let us produce our evidence or disprove their evidence and let others have the choice to decide what is right and what is wrong. I leave you with this thought, what they are claiming about Quranist are we not claiming the same about them?
