Do you think that its referring to Muhammad, the one in the Bible that is? I know Christians say that its the Holy Spirit.

I have no idea, if anything it would apply more to the word of God (i.e. Qur'an) being "forever" as a comforter.

Holy Spirit cannot refer to other than God since created creatures cannot be holy.

Bible is a buzz with associating partners which is typical of a human work trying to justify someone being closer to God more so than the next person building echelon of hierarchy to mislead -- I?m better more knowledgeable holier than you, listen to me, follow me, ok enough about me, tell me what you think about me? lol

I too wondered if Muhammad is the tile or name at birth if no one else had same name.

It is so appropriate that I think this was the title given to our last prophet.

There might have been hundreds of muhammads at the time when our last prophet was chosen by Allah.

For eg,

The one with only a pinch of beard; - there are followers who followed this muhammad as the prophet
The one that sported a handful of beard - there are followers of this muhammad as their prophet
The one that had beard upto chest - there are followers of this muhammad as their prophet
The one that had taliban type of beard upto knee level - there are followers of this muhammad as their prophet
The one that had beard but no mustache - there are followers of this muhammad as their prophet
The one that had beard with mustache - there are followers of this muhammad as their prophet

Based on these the madhabs were developed.
