Why do children suffer?

G'day,
Can you please point me out to RK's link where this concept is explained?
Peace http//www.submission.org/suras/app7.html
It is obvious that we wont remember our previous life, if not it wouldn't be a test. In fact, we dont even remember things we did in this life itself. What is seriously flawed and dangerous about this kind of story telling, is that 90% of it is free narration. Entire paragraphs blab on and on, padded out with juicy details 'supported' by a mere single abstract verse here and there - verses which carry different contextual and symbolic meaning in the first instance.
All of Dr. Rashad Khalifa's work, including his 19-based 'miracle' bends and warps meaning to fit his desired viewpoint. It is not healthy.

Agree. I really can't see how this previous existences are derived.

Salaam,
If somebody has got good ideas, please.
I checked out the video DArgento suggested above and in there we see a decent start, at the same time we know that these "protests" are merely recreational for most. Meaning most folks will get out there in the safety of numbers shout a thing or two about how they feel and then make sure they get back to their lives in time to get back to work and make that money and continue their lives just as before. One issue is a lack of any form of willing sacrifice. It seems people want change.. but not too much change. It becomes counter productive. Hypocritical...
In the video they mention the "manufacturing of consent." This is a nice fashionable term today that is used very often. However, the consent isn't that "manufactured" as it is plain consent by actions (perhaps not thought). Meaning, even though people may oppose the war by thought, their actual daily actions help finance it, keep it going, and therefore they are willingly consenting to the event. This is done because even though people say (thought) they want change, their actions speak something different.
It's as if no one wants the gears to come to a full stop. People are afraid of what will happen if the gears stop. It is more the manufacuring of fear. Once the fear is manufactured consent is freely given. So people get outside and yell a few words about the condition of things. What does this do? Nothing but help them "vent" and "cope" with their condition.. .their fears. These actions never become of any real use because the same people make sure they get back to work before they "loose their jobs and their material posessions." They have become so attached to these material things and the fear of loosing them (their limited and anxiety ridden comforts) that they are unlikely to want real change if it means the loss of them. So they trade worthless objects for a worthy world.
Imagine if these protests tooks weeks, months, years... until the gears came to a full stop.. take a breath and lets figure it out again... there is no political solution.. we humans make up and create these problems ourselves and we are capable of creating our own solutions.. but how can we until we take a real good look inside and ask what we really want and what we're actually willing to do to make it happen! We can believe in the solution.. and actually take actions towards it.. we can learn to set aside our fears... and Believe... peace

Peace all,
we humans make up and create these problems ourselves and we are capable of creating our own solutions..
Well said, bro. Tie that in with Nazz's first reply and I believe Tarikh has his answer
The unchanging divine law of cause and effect.
Innocent children, like innocent men, women and animals "suffer" because they are subject to this divine law.1311 ...God is not to change what is in a people until they change what is within themselves.

Peace all, why do children suffer? Even if God tells us that whatever bad happening to us is due to ourselves (and thus our deeds) (479), it does`nt explain why innocent children suffer.
Some have said because of the collective deeds, but Quran also states that no man is responsible for the burden of others, except when he misleads another man.
?Each man shall reap the fruits of his own deeds no soul shall bear another?s burden? or "He who follows the right way follows it only for the good of his own soul; and he who goes astray, goes astray only to his own loss. And no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another"
"That they may bear their burdens entirely on the day of resurrection and also of the burdens of those whom they lead astray without knowledge; now surely evil is what they bear."
Peace,
475 And why do you not fight in the cause of God, when the weak amongst the men and women and children say "Our Lord, bring us out of this town whose people are wicked, and grant us from Yourself a Supporter, and grant us from Yourself a Victor!"
Sorry to be off-topic in my earlier post.

Peace g o, but how can children pay for the deeds of their parents?for what crime are they suffering? And why are some other children born in wealthy families and dont suffer? Children cant understand things so how can they be imposed a test right at their age?
Peace Tarikh,
You have retained the capability of a child to pose penetrating questions that none can answer (no insult intended ;D) Being a father myself I know how a parent suffers seeing it's child in pain for instance. Perhaps the suffering or death of children is in fact a punishment or trial on the parents. hmm

Salaam,
This is why we must uphold the Quranic System of Deen so every child gets equal chances, none is poor, all get equal oppertunities. This life is not a test as a contest. It is test ground so we can learn how to develop ourselves.
God has determined the Laws of the Universe but not every deed or outcome as this would make Him unjust and also it would take away our responsibility.
Everything is an outcome of cause and effect and we, as a human race, can decide now how we want the future to be for our kids.
This is the whole reason why the Quran was revealed, not for personal salvation as most people (also here on this forum) believe, but to assist Mankind in creating a System where all are equal, all wealth is shared equally and everyone will only carry the results of their own deeds.
As long as we see Islam as a religion, see the Quran as a sort of personal guide to personal (selfish) attonement for our sins (word that is not present in the Arabic Quran), as long as we seek personal (selfish) salvation, then mankind is lost.
When we finally understand that the Quran is about us (2110) and that deeds must be compensated by doing good for the development of Mankind (11114) and that our complete focus must be on guiding mankind (3110) not to salvation, but to endless progress (1317), then we create Jannah on Earth where there is no hunger or thirst, no disease as all can be cured, shade as all have houses.
When we as individuals have shown that we are fit for further development, then we are allowed into the next stage of the Universe, not a mythical heaven, but a dimension beyond our thougths.
The Quran is a Divine Constitution

Very moving words brother and brother DArgento hit the nail on the head quoting 475.
I would love to be part of a movement in and be proud to say when I face God i've done my bit and I hope its enough to go onto the next stage.
Anyone got any ideas on how to implement this?
PEACE
