Noor and Muneer = Borrowed Light?

This is regarding the light of the moon. Is muneer and noor referring to borrowed light? Can it be used that way? Ive only heard this interpretation from Zakir Naik and not any other Muslim speaker.

So when it refers to the moon, its just a regular light, nothing special? Why refer to Sun lamp and not noor as well?

The Sun is a lamp but the moon is just a light - I see no problem with that. When you think about the quranic picture, or in reality, the idea of reflection can be deduced straight off, given that the sun is the only such source of light in our area.

How are the stars described?

Oh and the reference for the prev. post is 24;35, I think.

"nour" is guiding light. It's also used alegorically for learning and knowledge. "manaar " is a guide post/landmark; manaara is a lighthouse.We also speak of "nourul basar eyesight".
