    Salaam to all

I heard it has been discovered from archives about Buddha in 1990's that he believed in God and referred to Him as Allah, and that the evolved word Dalailama actually refers to those who served Allah, the root word being Allah.

I would be interested to know if anyone else knows about this or could reflect on actual word linked to Dalailama.
This information has been suppressed by the enemies of Allah who think they are more powerful than GOD

    Best regards,
    farida

    Peace all

Buddhism does not accept a theory of God, or a creator. According to Buddhism, one's own actions are the creator, ultimately. Some people say that, from a certain angle, Buddhism is not a religion but rather a science of mind.

      Peace "afridi",
This is true for one branch of Buddhism and also it depends on HOW one defines GOD. Buddhism is certainly an offspring of Hinduism and the Vedas indeed mention there being only one GOD which the learned scholars acknowledge too. So the term "da lailama" could have been taken from hinduism also without really knowing its real meaning or the group which had a different understanding of the term "allah" as do most theists still used it for a reason. GOD Bless!

        Salaam Nadeem
It is because of reaction like this that I did not raise this question before, but on this forum I see that there are many who take interest in research so that is why I am asking for further confirmation/research.
Unless we get to the bottom of this information it will reamin buried.
        Regards

        Peace Farida,

I apologize if I insulted you, that was never my intention. I understand and encourage your wish to learn, and your courage to ask.

The thing is that I'm tired of people trying to prove islam trough means that are wholly irrelevant to the purpose of islam itself. You have people like Harun Yahya trying to prove the Quran scientifically; the Nineteeners trying to prove the Quran numerically; the superstitious trying to prove the Quran miraculously; the copycats trying to prove the Quran popularly, and now you have people trying to prove the Quran historically. But few are those who try prove the Quran sociologically and psychologically, that's where the Quran either stands or falls.

Btw, this may be of interest

"Dalai" means "Ocean" in Mongolian, and is a translation of the Tibetan name "Gyatso", while "Lama" (bla ma) is the Tibetan equivalent of the Sanskrit word "guru", and is commonly translated to mean "spiritual teacher".

          Salaam alaikum brother Nadeem,

Thank you for your kind words, no you did not insult me; in fact if I was in your place I may have reacted like you. I understand your finding it irrelevant that people, not thinking of the essence of the Qur?an, try to find other justifications. Well Nadeem reading the Qur?an we would notice that many prophets too wanted some sort of answer from God. For example Moses wanted to see God and Ibrahim wanted to find out how we would be resurrected and, even though Allah swt said ?Don?t you then believe?? the above prophets still wanted a satisfactory answer. So I believe all those who want to satisfy themselves by historical, numerical or other proofs are simply exploring their faculty of mind.

Now, in the absence of solid proof, anyone who talks like me would be considered trying to ?prove historically?. I can say this I was a regular listener to the Jewish radio back in 1995 and I gained a lot of knowledge from its learned speakers. Believe me I heard this discussion on that radio that from the archives found sometime in 1996 (I think) it?s been revealed that Buddha actually had a God whom he referred to as Allah and that the world Dalai Lama is actually derived from ?Allah Ma?; the root world being Allah. Now those discussing it were definitely trying to hide this discovery, as they said that it must not get exposed anymore. Who am I to bring this to the knowledge of the world; I have faith that this will become known as and when Allah plans it.

However I would here give you one quote from the columnist M J Akbar, source Khaleej Times Article Headed ?The prophet motive?, Date 17 April 2006?. Regarding other named or unnamed prophets in Qur?an
Some Islamic scholars believe that there is a direct reference to Gautama Buddha in the Quran. Verse 85 of Surah 21 speaks of "Ismael and Idris and Dhu al-Kifl; all were the patient ones". Verse 48 of Surah 38 lauds the last-named further "And make mention of Ismail and Al Yasaa and Dhu al-Kifl, for they were among the best". Dr Zohurul Hoque, who has translated the Quran, believes that Dhu al-Kifl is the Dweller (Dhu) of Kapil, or Kapil Vastu and refers to the Buddha, who was of course born in Kapilavastu. There are other interpretations, but at least Buddha is included among the options.

I personally believe that Buddism has been distorted with time and that Buddha was one of the messengers of God, as his message is so similar to that of Jesus and Mohammed (pbut).
Buddha too believed in ?ahimsa? or non-violence ?means Islam.

          Best regards

            Peace "Nadeem",
            You said amongst other things

...But few are those who try prove the Quran sociologically and psychologically, that's where the Quran either stands or falls.

JK- Please dont be dogmatic and claim that those are the only ways which could show the authenticity of the Quran for in many people's views, independent researchers included, these are not the only two. To prove whether all the Quran's laws would be beneficial society we first need to setup a sort off prototype Quran Alone state and we are working on that but itll take some time. GOD Bless!

              Peace,

              @ Farida

I need to reflect over your post more. Your point on the prophets intellectual hunger has escaped me until you brought it up. Thanks.

But, what do you make of my quote from wikipedia?

              @ Jonny_K

I cannot think of, at the moment, other fields than sociology and psychology better fit for proving islam. Can you?

The experiment you speak of, would fall under sociology, as far as I understand.

JK- Well the scientific arguments as well as code-19 have also shown significance as they were confirmed through different independent sources and they too have and could gain more acceptance. I personally find the evidence from those too overwhelming and consider it the initiator to take up the task to implement Quranic laws in the 1st place. if i didnt have this evidence at hand i personally wldnt bother much implementing the Quranic laws considering it a waste of time. Hence i said dont be dogmatic but if you fell that the sociological method being successful would give the Quran exponetially more acceptance then thats fine with me. Also could you give me an example of a psychological aspect proving Islam? GOD Bless!

You made me feel good by acknowledging my input which goes to say a lot about you that you are a humble person, who is truly seeking knowledge.
Here I paste from the link you supplied

"The Institution of the Dalai Lama" by R. N. Rahul Sheel in The Tibet Journal, Vol. XIV No. 3. Autumn 1989, pp. 19-32 says on pp. 31-32, n. 1 "The word Dalai is Mongolian for "ocean", used mainly by the Chinese, the Mongols, and foreigners. Rgya mtsho, the corresponding Tibetan word, always has formed the last part of the religious name of the Dalai Lama since Dalai Lama II . The expression Lama (Bla ma) means the "superior one". Western usage has taken it to mean the "priest" of the Buddhism of Tibet. The term Dalai Lama, therefore, means the lama whose wisdom is as deep, as vast and as embracing as the ocean."

Read here that the expression Lama(Bla ma) means superior one (which could come from root world Allah).

The term Dalai Lama therefore means the Lama (Allah ma?) whose wisdom is as deep as vast and as embracing as the Ocean(Dalai) ?Does this not remind you of the similar surah regarding the attributes of Allah(swt) in the Quran?
The above paragraph reminds us that Western usage has taken it to mean the "priest" of the Buddhism of Tibet. This has now become an accepted meaning similar to Paul?s version of Christianity which is followed by the vast majority of Christians regardless of the fact that Paul himself acknowledged that he distorted facts. A similar distortion of truth befell Buddhism and even happened to Islam despite the presence of the solid evidence of truth, the Qur?an.

One of the biggest crimes against humanity has been the distortion of truth through the suppression of divine information. Allah (swt) kept sending us guidance through the prophets, but it was soon buried and a twisted, adapted version was promoted by humans.

We have been advised in the Quran to research and confirm the truth and to seek refuge with the Lord of mankind, from the evils of sneaky whisperers. But sadly, nowadays there are not many Muslims that I know of who are involved in excavation except in Egyptology. On the other hand the archaeologists researching about Buddhism are highly qualified PhD Christians and Jews. Why aren?t modern Muslims involved in this research?

I did a quick search on Wikipedia which basically says the same as the above, and got this, hope it helps

"Dalai" means "Ocean" in Mongolian, and is a translation of the Tibetan name "Gyatso", while "Lama" (bla ma) is the Tibetan equivalent of the Sanskrit word "guru", and is commonly translated to mean "spiritual teacher".

Allah is my witness I heard this discussion on Jewish Radio in London back in the 1990's and they clearly said this information not to be spread further .

As God being your witness they honestly said that?

If they didn't want the information to be spread further then why did they broadcast it on the radio?

Yes Allah is my witness this information was discussed and that radio was a local radio on Spectrum Radio new to Jewish community for two hours during the day. I had no job than so the radio kept me company. This was not the only interesting I heard on that radio as I said I learned a lot which is otherwise never discussed on ordinary radio.
Keep searching for the truth and insha'Allah it will unfold soon.

I also heard that Elvis is not dead, infact he was being kidnapped by the UFO!

Sister... not all things you heard is true..
For this case; it is 100% hearsay a.k.a gossip.. D

I could also add that in "eastern culture" (buddhism included), God is not "personalized"...
In eastern culture, God is more recognized as "The Ultimate Force" or "The Ultimate Conciousness".
You can "contact or connect to Him/It" without "uttering any words".
Meditation is one of the way preffered by the eastern culture people to connect to "The Ultimate Force" or "God" or in Arabic culture "Allah".

Brother I am not claiming that this is 100% true, I am asking for more research in this area. Why don?t you try and access archives discover during excavation some time in 1996/87 ..what's the harm in proving this wrong by documentary evidence.
