I believe that this work, James Allen's "Above Life's Turmoil", provides many of the most important lessons that the Quran does. In fact, far more clearly with no beating around the bush. It is a short work and I feel it to be superior to the Quran in the lessons that it details.

      Peace to all,

Didnt you recently say the same thing about a different book of his,

I believe that this work, James Allen's "As a Man Thinketh", provides many of the most important lessons that the Quran does. In fact, far more clearly and without the use of any symbolisms and analogies. It is a short work and I feel it to be superior to the Quran in the lessons that it details.

I will try to read it, but I wont compare it to the Quran.

            Wow... that's pretty bold.

I'll try and check it out when I get the chance though.

            peace

"Unbroken sweetness of conduct in the face of all outward antagonism is the infallible indication of a self-conquered soul, the witness of wisdom, and the proof of the possession of Truth."

that is beautiful. for me, this Truth would be an awareness of God, the One, the Living, the Merciful, the Abiding.

i feel similarly when i read the words of Khalil Gibran. still, all men who write books must themselves submit to Truth, willingly or unwillingly, and hopefully come to understand something of the Essence of this Truth. 1315 and 4065
