Peace all,

I have a problem with the word 'ommiyyoona', which is traditionally translated by 'illiterates / unlettered' and translated by Khalifa and progressive muslim as 'gentiles'

278 Waminhum ommiyyoona la yaAAlamoona alkitaba illa amaniyya wa-in hum illa yathunnoona
