    Peace to all,

I agree Daud, those were sick terrorist acts, pure evil, I do not nor never would condone such things, please do not misunderstand my statement, i was trying to refer to a theoretical right to justifiably use force in some situations such as defense or to uphold justice. But to attack and kill any innocent people, especially children, is completely evil and repulsive to me.

      Hi Kurt

I didn't think that you did mean this. When we get into this topic I think it is helpful to bring into reality just what some people
      take these sura's to mean..

I just got done watching a documentary on this event. There were men and women terroists that took over this school..
The women didn't know they were going to take over a school and argued with the men, one man in the end repented
and was the only one that survived the take over.

So I think we need to ask ourselves just what do these sura's mean... For me a convert from Christanity, where I never understood
why the Military, in the D.C. area, seemed to 'take over' the churches I was in. I could never find any justification for fighting in the
gospels, but there they were standing up before God and everyone else supporting all the military conflicts that our government
      was getting into...

When I became a Muslim, I was happy to find in the Quran these verses that showed me exactly what God supported and did not support,
as I could see self defense, and local law enforcement's use of force to protect the innocent.

But when it comes issues like fighting for independence from Russia like what these guys were doing, I just don't support it...

Not there, not in Palestine, not here in the USA, not anywhere, the Quran is clear about such things, it says to immigrate...

s THIS what you mean? The terrorists were MUSLIMS fighting for FREEDOM of Chechnya from Russia, nope, they should IMMIGRATE, this is NOT standing up for your rights.. nope

        2191, 2217.

        "Oppression is worse than murder"

They were being killed for being muslims, It's not like the christians said "We'll give you a five minute break so you can leave"

Why were the muslims fighting for their rights terrorists?!

To be clear, with no money, or a house, you would immigrate in their situation?

Not there, not in Palestine, not here in the USA, not anywhere, the Quran is clear about such things, it says to immigrate...

It's not that easy PERIOD. Even I, living within my means can't immigrate due to limited savings, ability, cost of travel etc...

The quran advises you to fight for your rights UNLESS you are weak, women, children etc...

"Give me liberty or give me death"

Are you really a believer? Only a disbeliver would not see God's Justice delievered upon the guilty...

Very weird Daud 19 about your churches in D. C.

The Gospel is very explicit about what GOD supports and doesn't support. Love your enemy.

Thank GOD we have separation of Church and State in the US, you aren't forced to go against your conscience. Unless of course the draft starts up.

                Peace to al

Silly House md, dont you know that verse is only allegorical, whenever dear jesus says something we disagree with we just say it isnt to be taken literally, or you need to put it into context, but when he doesnt say something we believe him to be, such as Im GOd so worship me, which Jesus never said, well then we just misinterpret and twist his own words to match what we believe. Why cant you understand, Jesus is your savior.

                  LOL!! House! Context is everything!!

                  Matthew 10
32"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

34"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
" 'a man against his father,
                  a daughter against her mother,
                  a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law -
36a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'

37"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

40"He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me. 41Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward. 42And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward."

"In context" doesn't make it sound any better, but thanks for trying...
