How it helped me- one example.
I have lots of spare time- in which I focus on things that are financially and socially more rewarding to me and others around me, rather then focusing on some useless ritual.
Plus it has brought all my family members a lot more closer to one another and to me.
To me after intensely studying the quran for a while I found that the salaat is merely consultation with people concerned about an issue (or seeking know how from those more knowledgeable about such a matter) ? a family matter financial or other.
At the same time there are a lot of other everyday issues in the quran- which do help you to live better in any worldly environment.
I am sure this forum must helped a lot of people but in different ways.
