Hi, i just thought that i want to share with you guys about this. Maybe it could help.

Try to relate this world to a 3D mass multiplayer online games. Those who had played it may somewhat understand what i'm saying, those who haven't, I recommend you guys to try it (It's pay per play). I'd like to relate our world to the most popular MMORPG which is called World of Warcraft.

This virtual world is created by human, by programmers, modelers and artists. Orchestrated by their directors, under the name of Blizzard the company name. The world (Azeroth) has it's own physics, it's own creatures (non playable characters, NPC) and intelligent lifeforms (playable characters PC). Supervised by the Game Master (GM) which has the power beyond the world rules of physics of this world. The world is materialized and controlled inside a server which is interconnected with computers within the internet from all around the world. The world can be audio visualized through a 2D display (the monitor) and a speaker and interacted with the PC (mouse and keyboard). The lifeforms is controlled by a human. To be able to go inside this world, one must pay/subcribe to the Blizzard to get the client software. And have a PC to install the software and become connected to this world.

So how do we relate this game to our world?

    Time & space
This virtual world has it's own time and space. Still, the time is similar to our world (minutes & hours). With the exception of Tuesday. The maintenance day. The world are brought down to sleep at this day. Mostly 8 hours of nothingness. But in our world, with the complexity of it, the world is online 24/7 but the need to rest (sleep) is just at the Humans. the Player. Our world are designed to run by itself, to maintain the balance by itself. All based on the rules that has been designed.

    The laws of physics
In this game, you can walk, run, jump, use gesture, communicate through a chat channel or word bubbles. The Player can also use abilities (that we call magics/skills) that can help them survive in this world. All of the physics are designed based on what the director and programmers wants. What they pursue is to make sure the balance among the classes, and the physics of the abilities is equal (or approximate to equal) among each classes and races. Same like us, all they physics law designed by the Creator is at it best at a balanced state. Like the gravity pull us down, but the earth that we stand is opposing the pull, creating a balance in Gravity (sort of like that). So i can relate the directors, programmers and the program itself to what we call angels at our world. It is unknown to us how the angels manage our world. Same like in the game world we can't understand how the programmers makes this happen unless we go through the source codes and decipher it back one by one. For example, when the Player died, they will be resurrected at a grave. Invisible to others. Players can't see them unless they died. But they are there in the world. In a different (what we call) dimension, so to speak. They are there in the mainframe servers, but is block or not to be seen in the visualized world (the game client).

    The intelligent life forms
The PC in this world we can relate to us human. They are the so called rulers. The purpose that this world is created. Each races has its own uniqueness. We can relate the races to our races of human, each of us have our own traits and appearance (white, black, asian etc). In the game, they are classes that can be chosen by the Player. The Player can be a warrior, mage, warlock etc. They can also choose a profession as a side abilities. Same like us we got to choose what we want to become, what career we want to choose. With the abilities that we pursue in real life need to be earned. It's not coming just from thin air. Same like in the game, one must go and earn the experience points to gain level and collect gold to be able to purchase and use new abilities based on the class that they had chosen.

So to relate, i could say the Player, or Human player as the soul or spirit of the game. Which has the control of the characters body. Which decides where to go or what to do in the world. Still, they are bound to the rule of the game. They can't teleport, they must eat and drink potions to heal, they can only jump at a certain height, to communicate, they have to be close to other character, or be accepted at a special channel to chat, and etc. With the exception of the GM, they has an additional power like they are immortal, they can chat with any player in the world, they can "teleport" to anywhere they want, they can resurrect dead players, can materialize any items or any creatures of that world. Or even kill/ban that player from the game world. But they are still bound within the rules that the programmers has created. So to maintain that balance, the GM is required to observe any transgressors of the game world. They can be in any forms, visible or not visible. Try to imagine how they are connected, how the players can't see the GM while the GM know that they are there and can answer their call if the GM wills. And can give them provision (is limited to the rule that has been set) if he want to. It could be the same as our world. But of course at a higher degree of complexity unfathomable by our mind.

    The creatures (NPC)
We can say it as a soulless lifeforms. They act and react based on triggers and directions that had been set to them. Like a monster in that game, most of them has different appearance and characteristics based on the laws that the programmers had coded. Some monster may only react to the players when they attack them. While some did not. Some is cannot be touched, while some is very powerful, it can kill a player in one hit. Some if killed, may give a player rewards, but some may give player hardships (more monsters spawned etc). Like in our world, this soulless lifeforms can be said as the animals and plants. They have their own agenda that we cannot understand. They have their instinct to guide them. They can also react to us if we interact with them. Each has their own characteristics and way of life.

    The materials in the world
Inside the world, one can see and stand in it. It has it's own plantations, buildings, landscape etc. All pre-built. Most of them are not interactive. Like you can't chop off the trees, or dig a hole. It has been programmed that way. All the material has its shapes and forms. With colours and textures in it. All are visualized by the modelers, and initially sketched by the artist. Same like in our world. The materials are designed in such a way, that is structured from a combinations of atoms which becomes elements and with the right recipe, becomes collective of that atoms that we can touch, taste, look, hear or smell. In our case it is interactive. But it is still limited to rule that has been designed for us. For example, we can't change iron to gold by just rearranging the atom structure by our hands. It is not possible. But with a right knowledge, method and material, we can create it.

    The purpose
Players are first entered in the game at level 1. At a designated city. A safe place. We can call them as newborn. Everything is new to the first timers (Noobs )) They'll learn how to adapt, and the game is designed in such a way that all the Noobs will learn from fighting a low level monsters and doing a simple quest first. Up to fighting an Epic boss which requires teamworks and a high level character with epic equipments. But to be able to understand the purpose, one must roam the world, or interact with others, or go offline refer to websites to be able to understand the purpose and the hows and whys. Or they can create their own purpose, their own adventure. Free choice. Same like us, to understand our purpose, we have religion, science, philosophy, spirituality, history to be able to understand that purpose. With the right channel or guidance, we might go at a path that is designed for us, but if we are influenced by the wrong channel, we might go at a different way, without realizing our true purpose. Or maybe create our own purpose. Again, Free choice.

    So which one is God?
What do you guys think? is the GM god? the director is God? the Blizzard is God? the servers are God? or all of them are God? or God is just a label that could ease our understanding?

Maybe there's more to it than we know. What we know now is just the tip of the iceberg of the whole system. Sooner or later maybe we can understand it. Maybe there's a backdoor program somewhere ;D

    Peace.
