469 Say "I am no different from the other messengers, nor do I know what will happen to me or to you. I only follow what is inspired to me. I am no more than a clear warner

    This includes Jesus

Looks like Apple Pie is back. rotfl

    Peace Jonny,

223 doesn't mention Muhammad. The address is to An-Nas/mankind (221).

1038 applies to all people, not just jews and Christians. That's preposterous. Are you saying all besides jews and chrisitians are excused here ?!

1113 see the comments on 1038.

Since Al quran was to some guy named muhammad (good luck proving which one), we shouldn't follow it right? It was just for him. )

1452 This is a proclamation for mankind and so that they are warned with it, and so that they know that there is but One God, and so that those with intelligence will remember.

Mohammad wasn.t a prophet he was a warner?

So Mohammad is not held above Jesus in Islam? That is really a surprise to me. Or is it so with the Quran onlyfollowers? If so then actually the Quran only are very close to the Bahai faith.

So why was Jesus sinless, His sides not touched by satan at birth? Or is this a hadith?

Jesus came for the Jews first, but the all non Jews were next. His purpose on earth had to be completed before the good news of it could reach others.

The Quran does warn Christians to follow their scripture.

          THE KIT?B-I-AQDAS <---- baha'i Kitab

Hmm interesting indeed. Worthy to study and reflect. But not to follow blindly IMHO. Precious. ;D

          Peace

Mohammad wasn.t a prophet he was a warner?

Being a warner is one of the traits of ALL prophets. See 4165, carefully noting the context.

So Mohammad is not held above Jesus in Islam? That is really a surprise to me. Or is it so with the Quran onlyfollowers? If so then actually the Quran only are very close to the Bahai faith.

Neither is above the other. Again 469 none of them are different than the other. They were all told the same thing, not word for word of course (4143). They all preached the same message (4213). The names should be irrelevant. It's the message that's important.

So why was Jesus sinless, His sides not touched by satan at birth? Or is this a hadith?

            This is a hadith, yes.

Jesus came for the Jews first, but the all non Jews were next. His purpose on earth had to be completed before the good news of it could reach others.

Why just jews? What do you mean 'first' ? Quranically, he died and that was the end of it.

The Quran does warn Christians to follow their scripture

It warns everyone. There's no word for "christians" in Al quran.

YUSUFALI Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.

PICKTHAL Lo! Those who believe (in that which is revealed unto thee, Muhammad), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans - whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.

SHAKIR Surely those who believe, and those who are Jews, and the f Christians, and the Sabians, whoever believes in Allah and the Last day and does good, they shall have their reward from their Lord, and there is no fear for them, nor shall they grieve.

                Peace "PVB",
Whatever is in the brackets is irrelevant. The other YES ofcourse all righteous believers whether amongst Jews, Christians, Buddhists or whaetver who beleive in GOD, the last day and do righteous deeds will prosper. There are many good rational Unitarian Christians who are compatible with the QUrnaic teachings and even James Randi likes them. Then there are the rational Jews whove quit following the corrupt OT laws inc stoning of adulteres, killing of apostates, etc etc and wanna follow the path of GOD Alone. Hence these are what the Quran means and last but not least there are amongst the Sabbeans too those who are righteous. This has nothing to do with following or accepting the Bible. Please get this into your mind once and for all. The Bible did not guide any of them. It is the spirit and rationality within them that lead them to recognize what the Quran states. GOD Bless!

Nazarenes, not "Christians". As we know, "Christians" came long after with St Paul.

sura doesn't mean chapter in this context, it has nothing to do with writing a similar book

You mean the Nazarenes that did not believe in the virgin birth of Jesus? The ones that by 400AD had ceased to exist?

                          Re-"Nazerenes/Christians"

First, 262 is to Moses' people (check out the context). Kills the theory of "jews" being the only people in his movement.
Of course that doesn't mean 262 doesn't apply to us.

The An-Nasaaara are usually translated as christians/nazerenes. Which comes from the root Nun-Saa-Ra

                          Nun-Saad-Ra = to assist/aid, succour, protect.

With that in mind, let's look at 348

So when Jesus felt their rejection, he said "Who are my ansar/supporters to God?" The disciples said "We are God's ansar/supporters, we believe in God and we bear witness that we have surrendered/muslimoon"

Have they become 'nazerenes' and 'muslims' at the same time?

                            Peace,
If you have any doubt regarding what we revealed to our servant, then produce/bring one sura like these(i.e. containing similar stories), and call upon your own witnesses against GOD, if you are truthful.
If they say, "He fabricated it," say, "Then produce/bring one sura like these, and invite whomever you wish, other than GOD, if you are truthful."
If they say, "He fabricated (the Quran)," tell them, "Then produce/bring ten suras like these, fabricated(i.e. referring to other religious scriptures whom theyve written with their own hands and claimed to be from GOD), and invite whomever you can, other than GOD, if you are truthful."*

These verses actually appear to be referring to the Jews and Christians who claimed that Muhammad plagiarized from the Bible and GOD is answering them to bring forth a chapter or ten(for even better probability) SO THAT THEY COULD COMPARE WITH THE QURAN AND SEE THAT THERES A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN THEM. This is what it means NOT like sunnis have tried to make us beleive that its some kinna of linguistic challenge for which there is no basis and no proper tests could be conducted. GOD Bless!

                            Thanks!

thats very interesting and makes perfect sense!

                              Acts 11
26And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

If Mohammad was speaking of Nazarenes he would have said Nazarenes.
