Hotkeys

I've noticed that alot of people here like to put a greeter and a salutation in thier posts, this only came to my attention after a person used the same one over and over again. I thought "Is he using a hotkey?" then I thought that a hotkey would be a good idea for the greeting and salutation. Maybe put it into profile settings and it will automatically come up in the post.

That surely takes away from the idea of a greeting? I don't understand why you would plaster a generic greeting each time unless you well and truly meant it (and by that, I mean literally so, not just "I'm muslim so I'll use this". I tend to hear what I'm writing in my head presumably like most/all other people, before it goes to paper/bytes and a hotkeyed greeting would detract from that. After all, the idea of the quranic greeting is the message - a declaration of peace, not the formalism?
