      ???

I meant biologically, all foetuses begin as female, so that is the default gender. The Y chromosome kicks in later, apparently.

The ovaries only have X chromosomes, namely XX. The sperms have XY. This doesnt mean that the foetuses are female. It just means that the sperm decides the gender.

I am no longer a Sunna-rejecter. See 4:59-65, 62:2-4, 3:31, 4:156, 7:157 Messenger teaches and is to be followed and obeyed. Examples of revelation received which is not in the Qur'an: 3:123-126, 33:37, 2:187, 66:3, 62:9.

But does that also mean that men are a deformity, having one leg of a chromosome missing? &

It only means that the gender of the baby is decided by the sperm, contrary to sexist/superstitous med?eval European belief.

This historic male dominance (not just European) has a lot to answer for, it has deprived the world of some very cleaver, farsighted women, burned them at the stake, drowned them, and generally eradicated them for long periods of time. Even though I am male, I support equality for women with a passion.

Well I believe they are wrong and you are right. As God does not have gender, I am sure he/she really does not like this bad attitude towards women. The more you bless women's rights, the more God will bless you. handshake

They are equal in the sense that God sees them both as equals.

They are not in the sense that God created them differently. Physically they are different, and most of the time they think differently as well. There is no truth in saying the women is dumber or can't practice her religion as much as the man because that is pure bull$hit found in the hadith plagiarized from the false bible.

Just like how a 25 year old man is physically different than a 65 year old one. They may think differently too.

And I still don't understand the concept of the creation of man and woman in the Quran.

                          Is your gender wrongly reflected?

It is the husband that divorces. He is not DIVORCED. Wife can seek divorce, which is to be given by the husband.

                                        Salaam

The ovaries only have X chromosomes, namely XX. The sperms have XY. This doesnt mean that the foetuses are female. It just means that the sperm decides the gender.

Why do men have nipples? From what I've read, all foetuses resemble females, so they all have female genitalia. If there is a Y chromosome present, it later changes the labia into a scrotum and the clitoris into a penis. Male foetuses are weaker and less likely to survive till birth than females, and I read somewhere that this is because of the Y chromosome fighting to make the sex changes, but I don't know how true this is.

But does that also mean that men are a deformity, having one leg of a chromosome missing? &

It seems likely, doesn't it, that the Y chromosome is a later mutation - since females have two Xs and males have one too - so females existed before males?

                                        peace
