yesterday I had a hard conversation with a sunni group about the woman , Inhave asked them if we can to pray God behind a woman, if the woman could to make Khutba in the Friday prayer, they were very angry , I've asked them for giving to me a proof from Quran , they didn't find a verset which forbiden woman for to make khutbaa or for praying by men in the Masjid , someone of those people says that woman is a devil , I've asked him if his mother is a devil , he can't answer, this question it's for you too , it can woman pray by men ?
      Peace

      Peace,
      Respectfully.

For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in God's praise, for them has God prepared forgiveness and great reward. (3335)

Enter into Paradise, you and your wives, with delight. (4370) Who so does that which is right, and believes, whether male or female, him or her will We quicken to happy life. (1697)

O you who believe! You are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should you treat them with harshness, that you may take away part of the dowry you have given them - except when they have become guilty of open lewdness. On the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If you take a dislike to them, it may be that you dislike something and God will bring about through it a great deal of good. (419)

They (your wives) are your garment and you are a garment for them. (2187)

How can anyone say that a woman is the devil when God AllPowerful says this And among His signs is this, that He has created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquility with them; and He has put love and mercy between you. Verily in that are signs for those who reflect. (3021)

Shame on a person who even thinks that a woman is the devil. Shame and shame.

There are so many proofs ..... against sunnism.

      Peace.

Based on the time I've spent reading posts on this site, I would guess that the majority of the people here understand the problems with some Sunni and Shiite men and their prejudices towards women. Usually I just read posts like this shake my head and sigh hoping that some day people will not be so ignorant. However, a thought occurred to me as I was reading this post and I would like to share it.

I would like to comment on the part of the quote "....someone of those people says that woman is a devil...."

This is interesting to me because it may say something about that person's psychology.
If we can agree that "shaitan" means "adversary" or "something/someone that tempts you or suggests to you that you should not follow "the path" then everyone's shaitan is different.

For instance, the average dog can be easily distracted by a cat...so much so that he has a hard time obeying his master's commands to sit or stay etc. when a cat comes into sight.

He may ultimately obey his master but it will be done with great difficulty.
The cat has done nothing but walk by (let's say) and may have no blame other than being in the dog's sight. So the cat is not an intentional adversary.
But even though the cat maybe completely blameless, the cat is still the dog's shaitan.

Now, if a person sees a cat walking by, we take notice but are not overcome with great excitation. We do not come home from the grocery store and see a cat then suddenly drop our groceries and run chasing after the cat.
Or drive by see a cat on the steps of someone's house and suddenly stop the car and get out to chase the cat. LOL

So when this person claims that "women are devils" then maybe what he really expressing is that this is his own personal weakness. That he is easily swayed and distracted by women. Like the dog with the cat in the example.

And in the example if the dog were to claim that the cat is a shaitan then we would understand that from the dog's point of view it is very hard for him to obey his master in the presence of the cat. Therefore he is speaking the truth as he sees it.

        Salam,
        Arnab

Well, i wouldn't let men pray behind women, or let women pray behind men, because they'd be tempted at watching the brother's or sister's butt. Who knows.

But there will be people like that, how to see them during the prayer? They will most likely be troube makers.

I have prayed behind women, young and old, "beautiful" and "ugly", since 1999 in our small group in Tucson, and I have never entertained such thoughts, even once! Anyone who have such imagination during their prayers, their problem is not the butts of men and women leading the prayer, but it is their unnatural fear of opposite sex and their culture of segregating sexes in every aspect of their lives that turn their brain extremely sensitive to sexual fantasies. I think such scrupulousness by itself begets such disturbing ideas. It is a self-fulfilling paranoia.

                Peace,
                Edip

It's good to be honest about yourself evey now and then.

But seriously though most mosques are overcrowded, I don't think there would be any problem if the rows were suffciently spaced.

In ruko the nose-butt distance is less than inch and then in sujood you have to contend with his/her feet, whilst being sandwiched by the people on both sides.

Why make silly jokes like that? Its quite obvious the how Edip meant that comment.

But anyway, enjoyed reading the thread.

It must be awful for a man with homosexual tendencies or fantasies to be praying and have some other butts right by his nose. No wonder so many awful things happen...

The believers are members of one family; you shall keep the peace within your family and reverence GOD, that you may attain mercy.
how I can think bad thoughts in the God's home, how we can to call someone who look at the women as a animal a believer, then if you've a psychic problem towards women why you don't use Niquab , also women sometimes in the street catches men .
