    Peace
I have a idea from the first days of my belief for to recite Quran by the music, I think it's a good idea for people of the occident countries for to listen the Quran because I will recite it by the english language , I would like to know your opinion , how will be the reactions of the sunni and shiit people when they will hear the Quran reciting by music ;D I think it will be the 4th World War ;D brickwall ;D
    Peace
    God bless you

    Peace,
    Respectfully.

In Sweden, a nobody just makes a cartoon image of a bearded man with a sword and they burn down an embassy. Yes, he did offend the prophet and he should not have done that.
In France, many people oppossed hijab and some principals even forbid women in veils to enter the schools. There, sunnis burned buildings, i think.
In Holland, Theo van Gogh makes a movie which is really offensive and even more than those charicatures and ends up loaded with lead and with couple knives in his torso.

I wanted to direct a movie about Islam and Muslims and one wahabi fella in London wanted to reach for my heart through my torso. A guy from Bosnia even said he will kill me if he find sout that i'm a shia. And i'm not.

Brother, you have to be careful with these people, they are dangerous and a friend of mine has been in danger and is still in a danger beyond human imagination. I'm also afraid that i might end up dead or at least on the fatwa list to do by the Taliban or UBL.

I have already made it public that i am who i am and so far it's been safe because i live in a small town and all these sunnis are okay but i don't know what the future brings for me.
I think that singing the Quran might not be a good idea and not because you will be in a danger from the sunni population but mainly because non-Muslim population might not take the Quran seriously. They already reject the Quran as it is translated by the wrong people and portrayed wrongly by the sunnis.

Quran is suppose to be recited - God Most Wise knows best.
But your life and your decisions are yours, just don't rush into thinghs.
I wish you good luck and may God AllPowerful bless you and protect you from them.

    Peace.

    Peace

Dear Brother Alen , don't afraid of people , I've passed on a hard experience with thesunni people and the terrorits, and I was always protected by God , I've embraced the God's message 17 years ago, I shared this message from the first days I started to share it with my family , my close one , my friends, after I started to write letters to the Masajids , to the Government , , one day a imam made a speech about me and my brother during the Friday Khutba , I asked a meeting with him , after when I noticed that he will not accept the God's message , I told to him , there are two false verse in the Quran only for stoping the conversation with him , he was very angry, I told to him , I can to prove to you my words by the number 19 , he asked us for a conference in my town but we've refused his ask because we're not ready for making a conference like that especially in a sunni country , also we were in a civile war .
I've lost my job about the God's mesage , people think I'm mad , I've spend 4 years I sleep outside till our days , I want to do a big work but I haven't means as PC but I don't need it because I haven't my own room , I thank God , also I thank every one standed with me , I'll never forget their help .our life , be sure it'll never be easy , do you want to be a witness in the jugmant day without tested by God ? you'll be in a good place in the eternal life , myabe you'll lose a lot of thing but you'll get good life a imaginable life .
    Peace brither and take care

I don?t think it?s such a great idea. Sorry to dishearten you although I don?t personally presume the purpose of the Quran as playful amusement.

Arnab, Obviously he won?t be using tajweed because it is in English.

And because it is in English you will be giving your own meaning or whatever meaning someone has associated with the verses. If you read the verse 16103 it talks about Arabic being ?mubeen? my understanding is that it means ?clear? and further on read verse 4144.
4144 Now if We had willed this to be a discourse in a non-Arabic tongue, they would surely have said, ?Why is it that its messages have not been spelled out clearly? Why - a non-Arabic tongue, and an Arab?? Say ?Unto all who have attained to faith, this is a guidance and a source of health; but as for those who will not believe - in their ears is deafness, and so it remains obscure to them they are being called from too far away.
Read on to 734 "?. recite the Qur?an calmly and distinctly, with thy mind attuned to its meaning" and lastly I want to point out another verse
?7204 Hence, when the Qur'an is voiced, hearken unto it, and listen in silence, so that you might be graced with mercy."?

I believe including music is somewhat disrespecting the Quran. Also the meaning is to be reflected and acted upon, music is plainly for entertainment.

If you're inspired by the Quran to reflect your understandings by music that's different. but to have the Quran and music, what for? I don?t agree and if you personally feel an uproar from the traditionalist then what is your purpose? To aggravate them?

I admire your intention of educating the west of the Quran. Although I'd say 90% of you have come to learn of the Quran through English translation. So I don't think it?s an actual problem for non Arabic speakers.

Muhammad Asad?s translation of meaning was used for the verses if you're curious.

      Take care

      Peace.

      Peace Samia

I loved music from my childhood, also I have read the Quran several time by listening the music, I think music is the best thing created by God for the humanities, the silly people ( sunnist) say Music is created by satan , then nature also created by Devil ;D I will recite Quran with music by the two languages ( Arbic and english ) God willing

            Peace Jim,

I agree with those who say that it would be disrespectful. What purpose would playing the Quran with music serve? I dont want the Quran to be something that goes up and down the top 100 charts

            Peace,
            Ali

Nothing wrong with loving music though I think and believe as I said mixing it with the Quran is not right.

What do you mean by "I read the Quran several times by listening the music"? listening with music?

I'm not interested to know how it will turn out because I believe it's disrespectful. Just as Ali said don't want to see it going up the charts as some sort of amuzement.

Have you heard of Sami Youssef as Elke asked? His work is inspired by the Quran but not the Quran. Listen to them I think you will like it.

The music is in the language and words it doesn't need anything else. The melody is in the tajweed. There's enough music components on its own. You wouldn't do it justice with your additional music is what I am saying.

              Salam

What one does in his own time and home and company is his or her business and nobody like himself to know what he or she wants to experience and how and if the person feels that she gains with it, who is anybody to object. I would not want though the Quran publicly, mass broadcast with music. It would still be a human invention to modify a divine revelation, which is ok by me if done by those who want it for those who want it, provided they know that THAT is not the Quran. I in fact I do not even like to much "music" in the current recitation.

However, music inspired by the curan to words inspired by it is something different. That is not the Quran but something that grows thanks to it.
