Sorry, I was away from my computer.
Any way, My posting was for some reasons that I wanted. First, I wanted to find out if the picture is real or fake. Because if it is real then I think we have a very strong sign that can be used to support that the Quran is a divine message from God and not was written by a false prophet. In other words, how did Mohamed (PBUH) know that the Moon was cracked or will crack.
As far as the Hadith of Splitting the Moon, I think the Verse says Cracking and not Splitting; Moreover, the action ?In-Shaq? means it Cracked and will stay cracked; but if ?In-Shaq? means splitting, then the splitting happened and it will stay split. In other words, the Verb refers to a continues action.
That is what I understand when reading the Verse. Maybe I?m right or maybe I?m wrong.
Any way, please if any one find out about if the picture is not fake, please let me know.

As for the meteorites... Well, from our perspective, humans splitting a piece of moon is much more interesting than the meteorites doing the same. Furthermore, our achievement in 1969 was because of God's blessing, and God pulls our attention to his blessings, such as ability to understand and discover His laws in the nature and use that knowledge to advance technology.

Have you seen those who do not appreciate the Quran focusing on verses about "hell" and "violence"? Look at the mirror and see where you stand in terms of witnessing the "one of the greatest" (7426-37)? Do you see great signs or a great hellfire? Do you see smoke when you read those verses or do you see the light of divine wisdom?

We know why Qur?an is in Arabic??And if We made it a non-Arabic, they would have said "If only its verses were explained?? Calendars, systems for distance as metric system, languages we converse in (e.g. English), and write code like using C, http, or any protocol agreed to as a standard; these all can change ? Qur?an revealed in Arabic cannot.

I think you will see that these 'crack's are not really cracks at all in the sense that you are all looking at them.

As muslims we shouldn't get dogmatic and cynically entrenched in our views because we have argued about it for so long. This is not progress.
Linguistically I agree with Layth on this one but don't restrict it to 69. 64 is equally important as it was the first successful un-manned moon landing. So I think it relates that whole era.
But if tomorrow some crazy decided to nuke the moon (was suggested in 50s to test weapons) then we know what that verse is referring too.

hehe, interesting. Personally I think people have the capacity to have an inkling of understanding in some respects God and His ways. I mean He does divulge His method from time to time in the reading. That's just my perspective however. )

EdipThat is one possibility. Sometimes it easier to look at what isn't than what is. It appears in your world of logic there is no third way.
There is a saying When all you have is a hammer everything becomes a nail. It seems these days both sides have their hammers out ready to bash each other.
My point was that in an attempt to out do each other both sides are getting melodramatic in their claims like they personally know God. There are some truths one side hides and some facts another conveniently overlooks.
19 is supposed to be mathematical evidence, yet we use language like "believe in 19" and "see the sign". This should be enough to send alarm bells ringing on how flawed our analysis is. Time for a rethink.
Do want the degradation of the beautiful mathematical structure of Quran into numerology on your hands.

Propositions/assumptions were made that Qur?an is protected by 19 and other things. Therefore, the burden of proof lies with those making the claims.
