    Hi.
Well I feel so grateful and happy that Allah has lead me to only believing in the Quran ALONE.
Im new here but Im not gonna give a life essay about how I got to this point in my life. (lol)
Im a Somali and my family ( my mum's side) is pretty religous meaning believe in Allah and also the Hadith and
Sunna. I love my mum so much more than anything, however her sister (my aunties) I feel are making her seem
like she doesn't know much about Islam when she does. I dont bother taking to my aunties about how i dont
believe in the Hadith and how i feel they are Man made because they would overreact and say Im becoming a non-muslim.
Majority of the women on my mum side wear the jilbab and all that but its unbelieveable the amount of secrets in the family basically I dont thing their being good people from the inside.

However my dad side of the family is completly opposite. My dad is amazing he has studies the quran alot and
know what true and what is man made. The female relative from my dad side dont' tend to wear the hijab but they dress
modestly and are amazing people fromt the inside. Because of how my aunties have taught me Islam I never believe my dad when he
said for example that Hijab on the head isn't in the quran and other things and so i always thought my dad was unreligous and
my aunties and uncles from my mum side were better.
Now my relationship with my dad is really better. Ive studied Quran alot and becoming a better person and closer to Allah.
Although i wear a hijab i only wear it because My mum have her family have hight expectations of me and Im
seen as the 'good girl' (im not saying im not) but they judge me just cos a hijab. I DON'T like wearing the hijab
but because my relatives are so religous is would be far akward and wrong for them for me not to wear the hijab and plus
I feel that they would look down on my mum and i dont want her to be upset.
So carry on on life not being the real ME because i would be breaking the rules of my FAMILY not ISLAM.

Its pretty hard. Im only 17, but my life isn't like any other muslim. I dont go out much at all because most of my life i havent
had much confidence. Ermm a litle about me. I have a big passion for Art and Photography, I love the film making
industry (screen writing and acting) and my parents are my heroes. Hehe I dont want to complain about life at all
Im healthy and breathing and god has given me a privilegde life. I have a family that i love very much.
All i ask is when doe people realise the REAL islam. Not the fabricated one.

    May allah bless you.
    Narma.

Yeah i suppose so ...hehe my dad is a quite peaceful person and so am i ..so we dont
really say we 'reject' or 'hate' the hadith but he's kinda getting old so he doesn't bother
with the whole telling people not to follow the hadith .. He just tries to raise
me and my siblings the right way .. D

Trust me, even dough my i am from a country with a modern culture, and great technology etc, the people from my country are just as ignorant as people from extreme religious countries. Ignorance exists in many form. Extremely religious people can be ignorant, modern non-religious people can be ignorant, and all other types of people can be ignorant. I think ignorance is almost on the same level in different countries and within different communities, but it exists in different form. Following man-made teachings and being against science = Ignorance, at the same time following all types of western ways of living like for example drinking and partying(nightclubs) = Ignorance...

                    Peace
                    David
