    Peace abdullah_m

Islam is a a system (deen), a complete way of life. Islam is not a religion

    http//www.aboutquran.com/

Read the article above to learn about what the difference between system and religion is. The world religion, does not even exist in the Quran. The word deen means system, not religion.

I agree that muslims should be in unity, however i disagree that we should face Kaaba

In The Name of GOD. The Lord of the Worlds. The ALLMighty. The Merciful.

      1. No, they have lied about that which they did not have knowledge of, nor has its explanation come to them. It is also how those before them denied, so see how was the retribution of the wicked!

      Notice, Explanation Come To Them.

      See?

Explanations Come to People from the Lord of the Worlds.

Every one get's the own Portion, God Willing, from the Knowledge Part, GOD has designed them to have.

So, Again, Praise be to GOD. The Lord of the Worlds.

      Peace,
      R.H.-Ustahi

I do this at the end of my salat

20.114 ...and say My Lord! Increase me in knowledge.

Abdullah, consider this for a meditating time Convincing is Loosing the Flow of GOD.

Thank you. I will meditate on this Flow - interesting word choice.

And I will face the Kaba, not because of its profound symbolism, but because the Quran commands it.

And I will face the Kaba, not because of its profound symbolism, but because the Quran commands it.

          Evidence?

NB Technically, one faces a random point in space due to the earth being spherical, so it is not literally facing the "Kaba".

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

            Evidence

2.144 We have seen the turning of thy face to heaven (for guidance, O Muhammad). And now verily We shall make thee turn (in prayer) toward a qiblah which is dear to thee. So turn thy face toward the Inviolable Place of Worship, and ye (O Muslims), wheresoever ye may be, turn your faces (when ye pray) toward it. Lo! Those who have received the Scripture know that (this revelation) is the Truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

The great circle method is the one where if you could walk straight, from the indicated compass reading, you would end up there. And that's about the best we can do on the other side of the globe. I know my rug should be angled 50 degrees east of north, but what's more important than the compass is the intention in the heart. I was taught salat by a born Muslim, and he taught me to form an intention to pray in the direction of the ancient House.

But I get your point. The physical direction is a tangent line when the distance is very far. We in the Americas technically should be facing down through the earth's core. But that would be rather silly and much too literal.

              peace abdullah,

Thanks for referencing 2144. As with nearly all such verses, it has been discussed in significant detail in the past. I recommend using the search function. Also, I would be wary of the translation you are reading/using because it seems to insert extra interpretation via brackets.

I completely agree that the intention or symbolic nature outweighs the literal direction facing. AQ often cites the purpose behind an act, is greater than the act itself. It is not only a matter of facing a random point in space, if you are in the USA for example, being off by 1 degree will result in being over a hundred miles off from the "kabba", even if you were to travel in a straight line. Thus, it is clear that literally facing a structure is almost impossible. I am confident God knew this was near impossible, so knowing this, we should ask, is there a deeper reason?

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

Other than unity, I can also see humility as a deeper reason.

2143f And We appointed the qiblah which ye formerly observed only that We might know him who followeth the messenger, from him who turneth on his heels. In truth it was a hard (test) save for those whom Allah guided.

                peace

I agree that unity/humilty are reasonable reasons IF we were requested to do this.

Pity you never quoted the verse before 2143, which clearly implies actual direction is unimportant.

                    Peace be upon you,

The verse says "wherever you are face it"....Are you facing it right now? Wil you be facing it 2 hours from now?? Do you sleep facing it??

Simples questions like that will help you realize that the "restriced place of prostration" is a symbolism....not a physical pplace...one cannot always be facing the same direction all the time unless that direction is towards righteousness..if you get the drift.

                      Peace brothers,

Perhaps another light may be, how did other Prophets, may peace be with them, prayed before the Last Prophet?

Guided Person makes no distinction between Prophets.

So, the Point is to Pray to GOD from Heart and Not from self.

                      Now this get very interesting.

As you know, GOD comes from between the Heart and the self. So GOD is nearer to our Hearts than our self is.

In this token, if you Pray to GOD from self, you will miss GOD and the Heart.

If you pray to GOD from Heart you will, GOD Wiling, Experience HIS Presence. Your Bliss.

Zgjidhja Model Operates Without Language. Hence it Allows the Process of Praying to happens from the Centre of your Own Soul.

And Finding the Soul is what ALL Life is about. And Living your Existential Purpose.

The Very Reason why the ALLMighty has brought you here.

And your self has not answer to any of the above Quests.

                      The Answer is Clean 24/7.

And Allow GOD to do Miracles Through You.

Praise be to GOD. The Lord of the Creation.

                      Peace,
                      R.H.-Ustahi
