How I came to God Alone

A'salaamu alaikum everyone. I was introduced to this forum by a family member and I think that the free-minds team has done a great job, mashallah!
I recently converted in December at the age of 13 (yes 13). My search for the perfect religon has happened since I went to church with my auntie at the age of 7. I whole heartedly accepted the Pentecost church but last year I decided to study the Bible... and did not liked what I read. I asked family and church members so many questions but I never got the same answer. So I prayed to God for an answer. pr
At the same time my Dad had converted to Islam and was telling both me and my brother about Islam. I never used to listen but I was certain a God was out there so I joined in discussions. For Christmas he gave me, ironically, a Qu'ran. As soon as I read that I knew Islam was the truth and accepted it.However, many friends told me that I needed to read the Sunnah to understand Islam. This didn't make any sense.. Allah said His word was perfect. So why would the Prophet (peace be upon him) have to add information to it? Many times in the Qu'ran, Allah tells the Prophet that his job is only to recite the message. Not only that but most of the hadiths didn't make any sense, like saying that dipping fly wings into a vessel is good for you, or to drink camal urine or even that dogs are from the devil when the people from the cave in Sura Al-Kahf had a dog.
Thankfully, my dad believed this too and helped me on my way to worshiping God alone. I do cover my hair but that is not because I believe Allah says it in the Qu'ran, its for me personally. People may think I'm too young but its my belief in no one but Allah that keeps me from going down the road many people may age go down.Please comment. I love to know what you think.

You are one of the youngest members here. Mashallah. Its amazing how God guides people from almost all ages and countries to the truth. You made some right choices through your journey to find the truth. You didn't accept hadiths blindly and compared the hadiths about dogs to what quran says about dogs. Truth and reason was the most important things for you. Those who follow truth and reason are intelligent people. You should be proud. Just like you, i also compared the sayings about Dogs in Hadith with what the Quran says about hadiths. Let me repeat something i said to another member recently When i first found Islam through God alone( Islam based on Quran alone), i prayed for god to show me the right way if i felt doubt or got stagnant in my faith. And i was patient, because i believe patience is the key to complete understanding and growth in Islam. Back to hadiths If we reflect upon and analyze the hadiths, we can find more than 1000's of hadiths that contradict Quranic verses, Contradict science, contradict history, contradict eachother, Contradict common sense and reason. Some Hadiths also make fun of our prophet, make fun of god, make fun of other prophets, etc... http//www.19.orgUnfortunately most people are sunni-muslims because there parents are sunni-muslims. So they just blindly accept traditional Islam as being the truth.They inherit the religion of their parents, and don't question the belief systems, and don't do a research to learn more about the Quran and Islams true teachings. I was wondering, how did you find out that hadiths are fabricated sayings and not a part of the true Islam? Was it your father that teached you this, or did you learn this through submission.org, or other internet sites? By the way, also check out an article i have posted about the History of Hadiths. Salaam and thank you for your comments. To answer your question David_K, I read this book my dad gave me The Unifying Theory of Everything by Muhammed A. Asadi. It is all about how the Qu'ran is scientificly correct. Then it how a chapter called the "Hadith Conspiracy & The hijaking of Islam." At first I was kind of shocked but the more I read the more I realised the truth D

It is so beautiful to know that a muslimah your age is so pure in such a perfect life of Islam. I have a daughter your age, she's 12... and as her mother, of course I wish her to know all about ALLAH, Islam and the Qur'an. Because I was lost for so long and after so many years, there is much difficulty for me to explain my change of life to my children, but I am glad and thankful to ALLAH for bringing you and your family to the TRUTH before any of these difficulties.
Stay on the Straight Path that ALLAH has Created for you and may ALLAH continue to guide and bless you and your family!

Ma shaa Allah, very smart muslimahandproud, and you obviously like to research ma shaa Allah. Some people dont find any truth till way past their 50s.
