Peace
I am having a look at the Quranic verses that possibly pertain to wine. The key words, IMO are kh-miim-ra and siin-kaaf-ra. I had previously thought that khamr possibly referred to the state of being intoxicated/drugs due to 1667.
However 1236 clearly suggests the act of 'pressing wine'. Furthermore 590-91 even if it talks about avoiding Satan as opposed to avoiding 'khamr', surely the point is to avoid Satan by avoiding 'khamr'?
Any ideas?
