Are faith and reason compatible?

Do religion and science have a chance at coexisting?

Can the religious and non-religious agree to disagree, or are their differences too great?

Can people of faith admit to and speak against the ill-treatment of apostates, atheists and others? It's time to take a hard look at religious texts and societal practices - and refuse violence against those who choose a different path.

Can those who ardently deny God's existence recognize religion to be a legitimate choice for many? Being religious doesn't automatically mean one is blind to reason. Or even science.

I suppose that I am completely out of touch, but I find this dilema completely aritificial, and that it revolves entirely about words. It depends on what some understand by God and what others understand by the same word. The honest atheist refuses to accept a what he or she imagines is what the believer understands by God. On the other hand some believers have a concept of God that other believers may find further from them than even the atheist attitude.

I think we would have to get some consistent definition of God. I do not think that is easy if it is going to be right. ?How can God be defined? In fact what we get is some reflection of His attributes. But that also the honest atheist gets, only he or she doesn't make a show about it. Would he or she need to make something special about it? I don't know.

I do not think that an atheist's meaning of Religion is compatable with science. Blind faith is not compatible, ignorance is not compatible. These arise when people get comfortable in their beliefs and do not progress. Arabs were at the forefront of science and maths but as they became more and more backwards in their Hadith and forgot about exploring God's signs they adopted a more barbaric, ritualistic lifestyle that focuses more on people's faults than uniting people in a quest for knowledge.

My meaning of Religion is God's system, this is synonymous with science because this is all God's creation. God has knowledge of all of his creation and did not "just get the ball rolling" He is the Personal God who knows every little thing, so believers of God will follow this idea of knowledge, and continue to find and rejoice in God's signs.

What is around us must coincide with the BOOK ... if it does not ... we do not understand the Book or we do not understand what is around us ..... I cannot find contradiction with what is written in the Book and what is around me ... so I believe that I understand

Science actually proves religion, it proves what God has told us in the Quran.
I believe that God AllWise, has given us science too in order to check and verify if we have any doubts, even though, God AllMighty says do not have any doubt, but if you do, here is science and see it for yourself.

God The Exalted and AllPowerful has given us tools to check and verify the world around us eyes, hearing, smelling, feeling and so on.
Glory be to our God, Lord of the Universe.
