I just wanted to drop a note to the good folks here to say thank you, and let folks know how I'm doing.
For those who chat with me from time to time on PalTalk, you already know that I have been having increasing problems with my hands due to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. The pain and associated problems have dragged on for many years now, as I've tried to find alternatives to surgery. This was, however, to no avail. Both of my hands need surgery (and quickly) before any permanent damage is done.
I just got home from the hospital a few minutes ago -- I had the surgery done on one hand. I'll be back in for the other hand in about a month. Everything today went very well, and I'm now on the road to recovery.
I thank God for my good friends here on Free-Minds, and for the strength and protection he has given me. I found great comfort in keeping the words to Sura 1 (Al-Fatehah) running through my head the whole time I was in the OR. Before I realized it, I was done, in the recovery room, and chatting with the docs about their home networks )
