How did Music become HARAM?

i like to ask you all here, How did Music become HARAM?
Why or how did music become HARAM?

My guess is that Music (LEWD music) is HARAM, as well as praying intoxicated to the point of not understanding what your saying...

Is not reciting the KORAN the way my CDS sound 'singing" also music?

But i like to say this, music can call millions into ISLAM peacefully and much more positively then Fighting or attacking kafirs, jews or whatever else the ones that believe music is HARAM do that is not in the CUASE OF ALLAH!!!..

And the Funny thing is, its POETRY that is HARAM according to the Qu'ran but in the sense that people will use it to redicule the truth against Mohammad (PBUH) as well as hinder and misguide ones seeking to ward of evil,
And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it meet for him; it is nothing but a reminder and a plain Quran,
Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend?
They descend upon every lying, sinful one,
They incline their ears, and most of them are liars.
And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them

So what do you all think about music here?

Therefore be patient of what they say, and sing the praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before the setting.

And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise;

Bear patiently what they say, and remember Our servant Dawood, the possessor of power; surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).
Surely We made the mountains to sing the glory (of Allah) in unison with him at the evening and the sunrise,

Music is a part af culture, none in Al Quran making haram to culture as long it directed to make improvement of life quality.
