By "this" I meant the original post. Unless you were expecting "Mr Humble" to participate, thus initiate an evidence based discussion.

However, as per your observation, and my reference, it would seem "Mr Humble" is not one to actually bring evidence to the table.

yes, now I see your point. I gave it a shot. Let's see if he responds.

Generally speaking, the more difficult something is, the greater the reward. I think this is particularly true when it comes to career/job/profession.

If it's easy, many people can do it, high supply of skillset, lower wages.

If it's difficult, less people can do it, low supply of skillset, higher wages.

All information is correct to the best of my knowledge only and thus should not be taken as a fact. One should always seek knowledge and verify for themselves when possible: 17:36, 20:114, 35:28, 49:6, 58:11.

there are loads of fields in Mechanical engineers~ analyzing motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, robotics, medical devices, what exactly would you be trained to do?

with text books that bloody expensive i would expect you to be doing all of that.

unfortunately it's very hard to have a conversation with Rifat because he insists on saying "praise be to Allah" every two minutes (fan of the literal interpretation, i'm assuming). and he keeps calling me arrogant and what not, so...

I'm not sure if it was right of me to post this but I thought it was absolutely ridiculous how he was accusing free-minds of decieving people and I thought i'd bring it out in the open so it can be discussed and the accused can defend themselves.

do you have a problem with me praising Allah every two minutes... i seriusly enjoy talking about the divine qualities of GOD...

Waleed, if i personally called you arrogant, I sincerely apologize! but last time i talked to you in AIM you told me to stop talking stupid... i am entitled to my opinion and i chose to accept what i should and what would benefit me of my purpose in this life and the hereafter.

it seems as if this site has "westernized" Islam because arabic texts have broad interpretation and without examples of how the revelation was revealed unto Prophet Mohmmad(PBUH), who are we to judge what God wants to say?

                  Peace Mr. Humble,

I'f you do not mind me asking, are you a sunni? If so, why do you prefer middle-easternized Islam over the westernized one?

                  Peace,

I am a Muslim, i Worship Allah alone and associate noone with him and i am a follower of Prophet Mohammad(PBUH) on whom the last and final revelation of Allah was bestwoed upon.

truth is, Islam is the Religion of Allah, if islam is so "middle easternized" than why are there millions of arab christians living in the "Middle-east"... Allah says in quran

2132 And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; "Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam."

2142 The fools among the people will say "What hath turned them from the Qibla to which they were used?" Say To Allah belong both east and West He guideth whom He will to a Way that is straight.

385 And whoever follows other than Islam as a system, it will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he is of the losers

Just my two cents. One thing I have noticed in Bangladesh (it's probably true in other countries too) is that, in general, ppl prefer to agree with each other and follow the general consensus rather than their own thoughts and beliefs. No one likes to be associated with an unpopular belief system or way of thinking. If I were to openly say I am a quran only muslim, I know for a fact that I'd be ostracised by the majority of ppl I know (other than my mom, sis and my two of my closest friends).

Most likely because what you refer to as Islam is a younger form of Judeo-Christianity. http//free-minds.org/books/journey.htm

You never answered my question, even if you think you did. I'll rephrase Do you find yourself to be a part of the sunni-community?

And, why is westernization a bad thing? Please give some concrete examples.

I don't think you can talk about Allah as having a religion. Muslim means one who submits, Allah does not submit to anyone, therefore Allah cannot be a Muslim - Allah has no race, no gender and no religion.

how can you not say Allah doesn't have a religion when he has made oppression and injustice forbidden on himself? and he created the universe and ordained a system(islam) and a way of life for the best of creation(Humans) so that we may get closer to him?

that is what i meant to say, sorry to all.

it is your intentions that count... you don't want to follow the quran by its straightforward message... not my problem. however, on the day of judgement you will be held accountable for your actions...
