On the use of Hand Analysis (it's like palmistry without the fortune telling)
-
Peace
Not sure what you mean by blanket, but let me make myself clear. Maybe if I quote you and then put my response it will help you understand.
Nope
Joe
Peace,
I asked two questions (on studyin it, and opinion of it) and I got one answer 'no' so I was confused. I used the word 'blanket' as in complete. E.g. A blanket ban on cigarette imports. -
Two more things. I want to post a longer account of my experience with hand analysis which deals almost exclusively with 'people-readin'
Does the Quran have a ruling on this i.e. Using it to read people? I know it works.
Secondly, can this topic be moved a more appropriate section? Like science maybe? It seems to be gettin too few views.
God bless

It helps us to give better feedback if you provide important explanation about palmistry, how it works and what's involved etc, and then ask specific questions...
Hmmm, I was actually hoping someone/ some people on this forum was/were already familiar with it. Anyway, I will put up an article/essay of my own with appropriate links when I'm done with my placement exams and essay assignments.
Peace

Peace Srotu,
the 'bd' stands for Bangladesh. here are a few links.

and oh, I do think the fortune telling aspect of it is bogus.i will try to add a few more links and write more of my experiences. It's quite interesting to me.
I'll try to write more as soon as I can.
Cheers

Thanks for the link! Now I understand what you mean and I remember I've actually gone for this kind of palmistry reading before. 6-7 years ago when I was about 14 years old. The lady who did the reading recommended some vitamins and foods to eat because she said it's likely I would have so and so disease or weakness in certain areas. She didn't do the personality reading thing just strictly about health.

That's interesting
Health is one of the things I look at too.
Did you know that people with an inherited predisposition to heart disease have smaller, shorter nails than average?
I found it to be true in every case (although my sample size was quite small, about 15 or so people...) -

I actually have read a little bit about hand analysis ... but I think what I read dealt more with the fortune telling part. Sounds pretty interesting. )

People who bite their nails make them unnaturally short. But I was referring to small nails, i.e. nails that are narrower and shorter than the usual, in the absence of nail biting or any other kind of modification.
The fortune telling part gets things right about the same rate as chance, I think. It would be pretty useless.
