This is in one of the messages posted in the events forum

"...The situation, as I've said is alot worse than most people realize.

Gazans for example are not allowed to grow crops over a few inches. This means they cant grow food crops, which means they have to grow cash crops for exports. Since there is a siege this is impossible, thus the strip becomes ever more famished. In the West Bank Israel bulldozes agriculture land on a daily basis destroying Palestinian crops and thus causing people to die of hunger.

Israeli Settlements in the West Bank have swimming pools while Palestinians in many villages and towns are forced to collect rain water and only allowed access to running water a few hours a day and sometimes only once a week.
    "

Since those authorities who should uphold the Geneva conventions on occupied land are not only not upholding them, but in fact participate in their violation, I ask myself and those of good will what could we, common people, do to help those people materially. I suppose many of you may be already contributing in some way to keep these people alive, and many have lost their lieves doing so. Is there something apart from that that we could do to improve these living (or dying) conditions in whatever measure?

    Salaam
