Ramadhan Poll (Number of Days)
-
Im goin with 3 or 4 days as meaning "a few", however i believe it can be ten also, i dont know thoe because ten seems to me alittle more than a few. Ten to me is a few x 2.
Agreement ( Fasting)
Desired results-
- Fast for 3 or 4 days in the month of Ramadan. 2184 - 185
Guidelines-
(1.) Fast for a few ( 3 or 4 ) number of days; however, if any of you is ill or traveling, then the same number from different days; and as for those who can do so but with difficulty, they may redeem by feeding the needy. And whoever does good voluntarily, then it is better for him. And if you fast it is better for you if you knew. 2184
(2.)It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually. They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them. God knows that you used to betray your souls so He has accepted your repentance, and forgiven you; now you may approach them and seek what God has written for you. And you may eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then you shall complete the fast until night; and do not approach them while you are devoted in the temples. These are God?s boundaries, so do not transgress them. It is thus that God makes His revelations clear to the people that they may be righteous. 2187
(3.) And remember God during a few (3 or 4 ) number of days. Whoever hurries to two days, there is no sin upon him; and whoever delays, there is no sin upon him if he is being righteous. And be aware of God, and know that it is to Him that you will be gathered. 2203
Accountabilities-
(1.) Eat and drink until the white thread is distinct from the black thread of dawn; then complete the fast until night; 2187

Siyam (2. Al-baqara)
A Personal Comprehension (The Summary)- O you (pl.) who have faith, prescribed to you is self-restraint, similar to what was prescribed to those before you, so that you protect yourselves.
- It is a few distinguishable days. Thus whoever among you is dis-eased, or on travel, several other days, and for those capable for it, a redress in a meal for the poor. Thus whoever renders himself best in compliance, it is for his own good. And to exercise self-restrain is better for you, if you know.
- It is a compelling disclosure when revealed therein the subjects for pondering as guidance for man, and clarifications on the guidance, and also the separations. Thus, whoever among you (pl.) who personally experience the disclosure, he should perform his self-restraint, while whoever is dis-eased, or on travel, several other days. God intends pleasant circumstances for you, and He does not intend the difficulty for you, and so that you complete the count, and praise God for the fact that He guides you, and so that you are thankful.
- And when My servants ask you (s) about Me, verily I am close. I shall answer pleas of support when one pleads to Me, so let them answer My call, and have faith in Me, so that they follow the right way.
- It is allowed for you (pl.) at the night of self-restraint, the obscenity towards your women. They are barriers for you, and you are barriers for them. - And do not relish in each others possessions by deceptions, when for them you (pl.) offer presents to the elders, so that you may relish in some of other peoples possessions unlawfully, while you understand.
- They ask you (s) about the commencement, say, It is scheduled for the sake of man, and the persuasion. And it is not the righteousness to perform meditations according to its manifestation, but then righteousness is whenever one is aware, and accomplish meditations properly, and be aware of God, so that you are successful.

- And you (pl.) be moderate with them since you are to teach them, and cultivate their minds regarding what they have dismissed you. And the temptation is greater on the assassination. But dont strive against them on the forbidden reverence, unless they strive against you about it. Thus, if they strive against you, you be moderate with them. Like that is the off-setting of disbelievers.
- Thus if they cease, God is mercifully forgiving.
- And you (pl.) strive against them as far as there is no temptation, and it is the obligation to God, thus, if they cease, then there is no opposition, except against the prejudiced.

Peace all;
It is one month according to your Lord; let me tell you why?(٥
Ramadan month is the in which was sent down the Qur'an as a guide to mankind also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment. So everyone of you witness that month should fast it, but if anyone is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you He does not want to put you to difficulties. (He wants you) to complete the prescribed period, and to glorify Him in that He has guided you; and perchance ye shall be grateful. (2-185)Thus, the fasting is for a month of Ramadan.
Now how long is one month?
(٦
The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve so ordained by Him in the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred; that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein and fight the pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. (9-36)
Thus, one year is 12 months. And as we know, one year is the time when 4 seasons are completed (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter), 365 days. Thus, one month is about 30 days. And if one month is ten days, then the year would be 12 month X 10 = 120 days (two seasons only).
Moreover, the following would show the length of one month
(٥
We have enjoined on man Kindness to his parents in pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth. The carrying of the (child) to his weaning is thirty months. At length, when he reaches the age of full strength and attains forty years, he says "O my Lord! Grant me that I may be grateful for Thy favor, which Thou hast bestowed upon me, and upon both my parents, and that I may work righteousness such as Thou mayest approve; and be gracious to me in my issue. Truly have I turned to Thee and truly do I bow (to Thee) in Islam." (46-15)
Is that how long does it take and not 30 month X 10 days= 300 days
(٤
Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same) for those who carry (life within their wombs) their period is until they deliver their burdens and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy. (65-4)
As we all know, the woman gets her period every month (average every thirty days)
Thus, we have to Fast for one Month that equals 30 days average.
(٩
They ask thee concerning the New Moons. Say they are but signs to mark fixed periods of time for men, and for pilgrimage. It is no virtue if ye enter your houses from the back; it is virtue if ye fear Allah. Enter houses through the proper doors and fear Allah that ye may prosper. (2-189)
Thus? the mark of Ramadan month is the beginning of new moon.

Peace Jim,
Shalom
if ramadan ten days , Please give to us from which day we start and in which day we finish our fasting ?

ShalomPlease see the following article

Also, from your greeting you seem to know Hebrew. So you should know what "hagg" means and that the "hagg" timing was tied to the full-moon. All of this is related to the timing of the fast.
Peace,
Ayman
