"Arnab" commits one of the biggest logical fallacies of "circular reasoning"
-
Peace "arnab",
You used this logical fallacy to "prove" that the Quran is the true Word of GOD by intending to prove the Quran with just verses from the Quran. Then in another post you claimed that you "knew the truth like you know your children" which is just a bold claim which any religious person from any religion can make. Still it doesnt prove anything much less that the Quran is the Word of GOD. So can you without resorting to further fallacies provide evidence as to why you beleive the Quran is the Word of GOD? GOD Bless! -

Proof is only needed when you are unsure of a thing.
A courtroom needs "proof" because an event happened that the judge/jury did not witness or does not have knowledge of.
Let's look at the word proof as defined by Merrium Websters Dictionaryhttp//www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/proof)
1 a the cogency of evidence that compels acceptance by the mind of a truth or a fact
b the process or an instance of establishing the validity of a statement especially by derivation from other statements in accordance with principles of reasoning
2obsolete experience
3 something that induces certainty or establishes validity
4archaic the quality or state of having been tested or tried; especially unyielding hardness
5 evidence operating to determine the finding or judgment of a tribunalI don't need proof I already accept the Quran as truth and fact. Why should I have to prove it to you?
The fact is the Quran tells me there is no compulsion in religion (2256) and that I cannot make someone believe if they do not (26)
Maybe, you should find what you need as proof and fact.
It should be something that will compels your mind to accept the Quran (as stated in the first definition of proof).
I suggest researching, reading and learning Arabic.
Then in another post you claimed that you "knew the truth like you know your children" which is just a bold claim which any religious person from any religion can make.
This was in reference to the ayah in surah Al Anaam
620
Those to whom We have given the Scripture know it as they know their children. Those who lost their souls, they do not believe.
Still it doesnt prove anything much less that the Quran is the Word of GOD. So can you without resorting to further fallacies provide evidence as to why you beleive the Quran is the Word of GOD? GOD Bless!

(This is) the truth from your Lord, so be not of the disputers.

But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say Come let us call our children and your children and our nisa and your nisa and our NAFS and your NAFS, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars.

"Visible proofs have come to you from your Lord; so whoever can see, does so for himself, and whoever is blinded, does the same. I am not a watcher over you."

What is the matter with you, then, that you have become two parties about the hypocrites, while Allah has made them return (to unbelief) for what they have earned? Do you wish to guide him whom Allah has caused to err? And whomsoever Allah causes to err, you shall by no means find a way for him.

Peace "arnab",
I don't need to prove it. I know it.
Proof is only needed when you are unsure of a thing.
JK- All relgious people of all religions including those who claim Jesus is GOD make the same exact claim you just made. So they should all be right then. Dont you see how absurd your argument is? Your discussing in a forum with other people. If you just say you know something it means nothing to us and you might as well stay away from posting as your not contributing anything and will only be regarded as arogant.
A courtroom needs "proof" because an event happened that the judge/jury did not witness or does not have knowledge of.
JK- MAN your view of reaslity is really warped. Evidence is required in all parts of life NOT just in the court room. Esepcially in forums if you make claims without evidence no rational person will be interested as it doesnt show them anything.

JK- That is the whole idea of this forum. We dont want people just claiming "we beleive in x,y,z". If that is what you want you can goto other religious or spiritual forums. HERE WE DEMAND evidence. We want to be consistent and rational. We wont accept people's arguemnts who merely claim that they know the Quran is true for then others will accuse us of being just like other religious folk.
The fact is the Quran tells me there is no compulsion in religion (2256) and that I cannot make someone believe if they do not (26)
JK- And what has that got to do with me asking you as to why you beleive in the Quran being the Word of GOD?
Maybe, you should find what you need as proof and fact.

JK- Learning modern arabic will do no good since LANGUAGES EVOLVE since you dont know that. They change and also many Arabic terms have attained sectarian biased meanings. Thats why it's necessary to look at secular and unbiased classcail Arabic dictinaries and we are doing just that.

Salam,
ArnabJK- You think that if you bombard me with verses you can somehow impress others of how smart you are and bring me down. But let me tell you this is not the case because you apparently are still using biased sectarian interpretations of many verses. Secondly you think that you know the Quran better than me which from my point of view is also false as ive seen. 3rdly you take these verses out of context and try to make an argument which is NOT APPLICABLE to the arguments presented here. A typical red herring fallacy. Yet ive explained the first verse you quoted here in context. GOD Bless!

I read in Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic with definitions based on scriptural evidence of each words usage.
JK- You think that if you bombard me with verses you can somehow impress others of how smart you are and bring me down.
No, we were discussing Quran, verses of the Quran are usually referrenced.
But let me tell you this is not the case because you apparently are still using biased sectarian interpretations of many verses.
The translations are for the purposes of those who are still learning or who have not yet learned Arabic. They are to be read with the understanding that translations are not entirely accurate.
Secondly you think that you know the Quran better than me which from my point of view is also false as ive seen.
I never said that. This is your imagination.

Those unto whom We gave the Scripture recognise it as they recognise their sons. Those who ruin their own souls will not believe.
Excellent rebuttal.

Salam jonny_k. Learn the meaning of the words you use.
There is no "logical fallacy of 'circular reasoning'" I am sorry to tell you. You are majnoon. There are fallacies, which are the opposite of reasoning. There is a fallacy of circular logic.
There is NO LOGICAL FALLACY OF CIRCULAR REASONING.
IF IT WAS REASONING, IT WOULD NOT BE A FALLACY.
MAJNOON.
Allah increases the wrongdoers in their evil.
