No it's not. Islam is not a religion...Unless you can tell me how Abraham, Jesus, his followers, Moses, his followers, Noah, Joseph, Solomon and Pharoah were following a religion called Islam (arabic word) and were using the arabic word muslim. Quranically, they all claim to be muslims.

Also, Al madeena is a COMMON noun in Al Quran.

Also, Al arabu is/can be temporary. If they joined Muhammad they became part of 'ahul al madeenah' (i.e. literally people of the city, whatever city he lived in).

Let's also recall that most of the references to nazerenes and jews are NEGATIVE.

-Proper noun
-Definite noun
-Common noun
Al-madina = Definite noun not a common noun

Deen is not religion. There is no organized religion prescribed in Al Quran.

The prophets being real or not is irrelevant. You are asked to follow their message.

If prophets are unreal and irrelevant as you say then their message is also unreal and irrelevant.
As far as this Quranic verse is considered ,it depends unpon the authenticity of the Quran.When the whole message is unreal ,no relevance of it.

I was brought up in a non-religious family.My thoughts were those of an Atheist.Then I faced so many incidents in my life that I had to believe in God.One of my muslim friends gave me Quran to read.I read it but what I feel that only belief in God is sufficient for any person.No need to have belief in ,"divine books "and Prophets.It seems as the tyrants made a conspiracy against humanity to control them and created these books like Bible ,Quran etc.There is no proof of their authenticity ,there is no proof that some prophets really were sent for human guidance.
Religion has in fact divided this world into different groups who are fighting with each other leading to manslaughter in the past as well as in the present.
