  • Hello and thank you...
    A Asif

Hi all, my name is Asif and I think it?s about time I properly introduced myself as I have been reading on this site / forum regularly since 2005.

I come from a regular Pakistani Sunni background, went to the local London mosque, followed tablighi jamaat and completed Umrah. My parents soon separated when I was still at school and my mother and two sisters decided to become Shia. Even though I was upset and confused with this sudden change in beliefs it caused me to seek my own knowledge instead of listening to others. A few years later I ran into the Code 19 website which immediately drew my attention - I read nearly all available on there and even though I was drawn I was not content with all I was reading. Somehow I then found this great website which put all my doubts into perspective and I have been a Quran reading God only believer since. I must say that since making this change I am a happier person and feel much closer to God.

I have a question I have tried to find the answer for but have no concrete conclusion ? I am hoping some may be able to help or point me in the right direction. In short I want to get married to someone but am confused about our religious differences.

She believes in God, wholeheartedly. But she does not believe or want to align herself to any religion. She is a good person who prays in her own way to God daily. She naturally follows the straight path. She does not eat pork or drink alcohol. She is modest and helps the needy continuously. She is not perfect but always strives to become a better person. She believes in herself, God and the hereafter.

How would a God only believer and the Quran view such a person?

I would like to sincerely thank all the regulars and everybody else who have helped me see the truth and in turn make me a better man. I hope and pray you will be rewarded.
