    Greetings and Peace, all group

    @Berat welcome

On a technical note, the Qur'an contains hadith. One example

209 And did the narrative of Moses come to you?

Of course, extra-Qur'anic hadith have no place in the Deen.

ISA, your stay will be a fruitful one.

May ALLAH see fit to Guide all seekers.

    peace

    ~Abdul-Hadi

Of course when i say hadith i am referring to the meaning we are tought by sunnis, shia etc. as a report of the deeds and saying of Muhammad (pbuh).
Not the meaning which is found in the Quran, actually the Quran is the best hadith (according to 3923) so i am not rejecting it P

Peace be upon all of you brothers and sisters.

    Peace,

    welcome

I am glad that there are more Muslims leaving sects and man-made teachings and embrace pure islam.

As for Sunnis in your area, do they even freking read hadiths from cover to cover? Do you tell them that hadiths contain so much violence, barbarism and nonsense?

    Regards,
    Yuliana

Nope, tbh most of us here learned the relgion through what the imams teach us (i started to learn islam this way too), of course i am not saying that everything they teach us is wrong. But i always felt there was some falsehood in there, that is why i started reading myself and not listen to them anymore.

Btw in my country we have bigger problems then the differences between quran only, sunni, shia or whatever sect. I am going to explain some of them below.

For example I am lucky because i know english, you can hardly find hadith collections or other books written in albanian (my mother toungue) or macedonian. And because of communism in the history of Balkan, the generations before me didnt get enough education or none at all!
For example my father knows little english, while my mother doesnt know any word at all.

Unfortunately the only one which can learn the truth about islam is the youth.
I am saying unfortunately because the majority of them (of course not all of them) even though they claim to be muslims they do quite the opposite of what islam teaches us. I can describe their lifestyle in simple words as sx, drugs and rock n' roll.
It is some kind of mentallity the people have, it is similar to the YOLO guys i see around the world, promoting drugs, being "free", s
x, etc. because you only live once. And most of the people here "become" religious at the age of 40/50 and start praying at that time. Believe me this has became like some kind of culture here, the majority of the muslims (of course not all) do this and they are muslims because of the culture.

For example these days one of our politicians declared that he doesnt know why he is a muslim, he said he doesnt pray, fast, etc. neither did his parents, but they taught him they were muslims and he is a muslim because of that. So beings a muslim in my place is more like national identity than a religious one.

These are the problems our country is facing, and this is why it makes me mad when people (mostly imams and scholars of islam) call me a disbeliever for rejecting hadiths, even though i try my best to work as the Quran teaches us. So i am the disbeliever, while the same people call the youth out there "misguided muslims".

Hope you find any use for what I wrote and not consider it just rubbish and in that case I apologize and sorry for the inconvenience.

    God bless you

    God bless you too.

And of course i dont consider it rubbish! I always take my time to read, i have no problem with that unless it is full of false information and propaganda. I am pretty sure it is useless to read things like that, unless you want to prove it is rubbish.

Anyway I just skimmed it and i think it is informative and will help me allot, thanks
I will check it out when i have time, right now i have to study and i dont have mich free time (because of university)

  • Do you openly address yourself as a Quran only/God Alone Muslim in public?
    B Berat_S_

Salam, as a muslim in macedonia, i have a very hard time.
Not because there arent many muslims here (in fact in my city the majority are muslims), but because 99.9% or even all of them are sunnis. The biggest problem i have is that most of them are closed minded and blindly believe and follow whatever they are taught.

Everytime i tell someone i dont follow hadiths, the Quran is all what we need they start calling me a jew, disbeliever and things even worse. (Dont want to use inappropriate words)

The thing that makes me mad is not ehat they call me, but the majority of the youth here dont practice. They dont pray, fast, etc. but no one says anything to them, nor makes a move to change this situation.
I myself try to do my best and i am called a disbeliever and they work hard to change my mind even though they dont provide any evidences to do this. They think i will blindly follow whatever they are telling me lol

Btw i never labell myself as a Quran Alone, i always say i an just a muslim. I only tell people i dont follow hadiths only when the topic is hadiths.
This are the problems i get by telling people i dont follow hadiths P

    General Issues / Questions

    Assalamu alaykum brothers and sisters

As a new member of this forum i would like to introduce myself.

My name is Berat, i'm 18 (almost 19) yo.
I live in Macedonia, but i was grown up and lived 14 years of my life in Italy. My family is and has always been a sunni one, but me and my family were not much of a practicing one (untill the last 2 years), we didnt pray, fast, etc. though we didnt eat pork, drink alcohol or do major sins.

Around 2 years ago i had an accident with my motorbike, i was and still am a big fan of motocross

I got a surgery and had to rest allot, during this time i thought allot. Especially the purpose of my life.
This is when my religious search started, of course as a muslim (even though i was not a practicing one) i started to look for my answers in islam first, but unfortunately i had always doubts and didnt believe in the things i was being taught, mostly because i was reading more hadiths than the Quran itself. I read allot of the bible and a bit of other religions too at that time.
But the more i read, the more illogical i found the other religions, so i came back to islam because i knew from what i learned at that time there was something logical.
So my story goes on like this, i continued reading and finally i came to the conclusion there is a part of islam (as sunnis teach it) that doesnt make any sense. Everytime i had a question and searched for the answer in the hadiths i always ended up with more questions, and no answer was found.

Though the Quran was not like that, everytime i searched for an answer i found it in there, so this is where i started to not believe the hadiths as part of this religion.

This was a critical moment of my life, because i thought i found the truth in islam (how sunni teach it) and it turns out there is still lies in there.

So i made a research on the net if we really have to trust hadiths, this is where i found out about Quranism (at that time i thought i was the only one that rejected hadiths as part of our deen).

So here i am here, even though it has been months i rejected hadiths i only found out about this forum recently.

Btw i am not a sunni nor shia since i reject the authority of the hadiths, according to them i am a disbeliever (i am called that one allot). I am not a follower of any sect too and i dont like to be labelled as a quranist, even though i am one. I prefer to be called just a muslim.
I think it sounds like some sort of sect, dividing yourself from the others sects, but as an idea and movement i am a quranist, the idea of rejecting the authority of hadiths.
