Hi Roman,
I think this is an excellent idea. I will be busy with birthday celebrations in a month's time but will definitely be up for it, if I'm available.
Peace.

Peace, brother Khan,
Peace..
It seems a strong message from you coupled with little bit of anger blended in it..
What you say is true literally... But where are those believers when it comes to marriage...?
Normally people look in matrimony or fall in love with people they mingle with.. But I don't see believers of reality in them according to Quran.. So in such case where can one find a believing matching partner..
Is it must that one should marry a believing woman or believing men or just a Muslim sufficient that is to say one who accept God in life..
I have a wonderful friend who is living in Holland.. Unbelievably good character.. I found him in this forum only... Somehow I am very close to him within mind.. But he is married and have three kids.. His wife is neither a believer nor a Muslim.. She is not perhaps an atheist.. According to him she doesn't value religion much.. He is happy with her.. He is a true believer.. Is he wromg according to Quran? He might have understood the depth of faith 5 six years back but he is married perhaps 20 years back.. He is in his early forties.. So what can he do rather than living with her.. Coz they are a wonderful family... Faith is individual to a self.. Why faith matters when it comes to marriage..
Had God threatened us if we marry a person who doesn't believe in God that we will be penalized? ... I am not sure.. But if you pls bring verses.. Believing woman for believing men is so perfect.. Yes.. I agree.. But where are they? Who are they? I don't see them.. Good people in character in have seen but not believers like us..
I was wondering why adopted son of Mohamed did divorce while he was described as a good person.. So.. Marriage life is not merely on faith.. It is with adaptability love care duty to certain limit.. Extremism in anything will not make a perfect ideal person in life..
Prophets who married to disbelieving women didn't divorce them.. They could have.. Right? But they continued..
In my understanding simply a person who believes in God would make a good choice.. But couple should match in their preference coz they have to love together.. Only they match can go in life long journey.. Not mere faith..
Is it forbidden to marry just a simple person who believe in God literally but not labelled as muslim or QURAN alone..
It is really intricate for me..
Buy never we should marry a person who is a Disbeliever abd active in disbelief and against faith.. Such never would suit even how much they a compatible life partner..
What's QURANs direct order when it comes to marriage..
Quran clearly says such and such people are not allowed for you in marriage.. But faith is mentioned in that verse 423-24?
Let me mentions verse 2221.. It clearly says not to marry mushrik... And never stated any other... So apart from mushrik /.idolaters there are many type of people on earth... Believing person I ideal but not found.
I am not against your strong statement butI need further clarification with Quran.. Thank you sister..
I agree.
Where does one find a believer? As it transpires, when one meets someone who purports to be a "believer", the values which they seem to have, and how they live their life, seems to even be devoid of basic values which any average human would have.
Peace.
Salaam,
Salaam Es,
yes, you're right. In terms of the signs, it could be anything. But to communicate with God (His messages), it is in the form of writing.
Peace
Perhaps I'm not intelligent enough to grasp your point (which is entirely possible and possibly the most plausible explanation! ), however, can "signs" not be a method of "communication"?
Thank you.
Peace.
Sajda.
Salaam,
Salaam
It does not always have to be Al Qur'an, but also the previous scriptures. But certainly it must be in the form of writing.
964 The One who taught by the pen.
965 He taught the human being what he did not know.
and surely we will understand,
2792 "And that I recite the Qur'an." He who is guided is guided for himself, and to he who is misguided, say "I am but one of the warners."
2793 Say "Praise be to God, He will show you His ayatihi (signs) and you will know them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do."
if we are patient enough to wait for a best explanation to come,
2533 And for every example they come to you with, We bring you the truth and the best explanation.
There was a time when God spoke directly to humans, but not anymore. This has been written in ancient books,
2 Esdras
Chapter 1
35 Your houses will I give to a people that shall come; which not having heard of me yet shall believe me; to whom I have shewed no signs, yet they shall do that I have commanded them.
36 They have seen no prophets, yet they shall call their sins to remembrance, and acknowledge them.
37 I take to witness the grace of the people to come, whose little ones rejoice in gladness and though they have not seen me with bodily eyes, yet in spirit they believe the thing that I say.
Be happy in your faith..
Peace
Why must it be in writing? Surely God shows his signs in various forms?
Peace.
Salaam,
May there be peace upon those who read this.
I go by the username keno a sort of anagram of joken a name which was given to me by my third-cousin at a young age. I wont go into much detail about my personal story, I do however write this in order to relfect upon what happened when I was first introduced to God and the events that lead shortly after.
I met a man in 2015, he was dealing in marijuana and considered himself a free thinker and a muslim. We hit it off and had many evenings where we talked about God, society and life. After a while I moved in with him and suddenly found myself calling to God and acknowledging him. Some time after I developed a psychosis, according to the psychiatrist anyway,I heard an awesome voice of might that wasn't there and it said "You have to understand" repeatedly and concluded that I had to fast for 40 days. I did so, but stopped at 37 days. During the whole time I prepared to pilgrimage on foot from where I live. I got about 1 km outside my home and ended upon a roof and jumped about 20 meters down convinced that angels would catch me. I broke a lot of bones and stayed 8 months in hospital.
That my backstory, after my injuries I have become stagnant, but God never took his eye off me and he has lead me to his book. I often despair, lose hope and try to seek help in others, but ultimatly God is the Helper, the Wise. He saved me in that fall, and has since showered me with both good times and some affliction. I hope to educate my family about my experience and my(and our and all mankinds) doctrine.
I hope to have the courage to talk to you guys and share ideas and ponder about the word of God. God willing.
Peace.
God bless you, my brother.
Peace.
Oh gosh!
And don't even get me started on trying to find a husband!
I'm not right sure about this but I eat all seafood whether it's mussels, squid, clams, lobster or octopus.
I wish I could articulate why, but I'm really not feeling it. It could just simply be that I'm averse to change, but I feel like there's a certain lack of user friendliness as I browse away on my phone. I'll have a think about it and post later.
Peace,
Brother Rilum, please do not worry.
Your "I do not know" is honest. and may be just over 100 times.
My "I do not know" has reached 4093 . That is why I keep asking folks to check everything I say.
I hope now they take me seriously and double check all my claims! "
I guess the more we try to know the less we understand?
Sister huruf, the two mounts ,as far as I can make out, the two mounts are not at the same place.. Could be two different names.
GOD bless.
Peace.
Wonderful post, brother good logic,
Indeed we are all wandering on God's green Earth, not knowing and unwise to any great knowledge and wisdom.

Peace,
I am sorry for replying a months-old post. Just want to tell you that equality =/= similarity. People who fight for gender equality are not seeking or attempting to make or make people see that women and men are the same, but women and men should have social and economic equality.
Anyway what is wrong.... with.... you...?
I was thinking about you earlier today and hoping that you're in a good place, and still questioning with that great mind of yours. And here you are.
All the best.
Take care.
Sajda.
Finish your studies successfully. Forget everything else.
Gosh, I remember reading your posts and the flirtations were palpable.
The origin
https//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender_separation_in_Judaism
Pirkei Avot 15, Yosi ben Yochanan says that a man who spends too much time talking to women, even his wife, neglects the study of Torah and will inherit gehinnom.
Chapter 152 of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch details a series of laws forbidding interaction between persons of the opposite sex who are not married or closely related. Some of the prohibitions include physical contact, isolation with members of the opposite sex, staring at women or any of their body parts or attire, or conversation for pleasure.

Peace,
What I want to add to this Contraception, including the pill, the pill after and condoms have changed the game. Women are no longer "stuck with a baby" after a sexual encounter. Women could not as easily get away with casual sex before these things. They had to marry and it was shameful to be a single mother, to fornicate, etc. It is also bad today. Single motherhood is not good for children. A further reason why only females are "punished" - that is, they have to stay with chaparoned in their father's home till they marry (415, 425).
What if you don't have a father?
Peace,
I agree with brother HP. I was also taken aback. I think HP has provided you with excellent advice, sister.
Anyway, I wish you all the best.
Peace.
Peace,
I am a 6 year revert , I thought I was the only person that thought the way I did I had never heard of quranists before until the other day when I was told I was one, I am so happy to know I'm not alone and that others believe the same as me
Welcome!
I can empathise completely. I recall the joy of discovering, by complete accident, that there are other crazy people out there like me who reject the hadith. I cannot forget my elation. What a wonderful feeling it was. And although, I rarely post, I come here every single day to see what my family are discussing.
I hope you find the same joy, amusement, confusion and learning here too!
Salaam.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind being a gorilla, no income to worry about, free food,
sound mind, member of close knit group, no liars and yes No Ego.
I enjoyed my sectarian life but eventually outgrew it as I accumulated knowledge.
peace
Hawk, I never paid any serious thought to how wonderful it would be to be a gorilla. It sounds idyllic! We can be a part of the same troop!
Peace.
