Hello, i myself went through all that is required of a convert to be to ?slam""by the govt of singapore, and now my wife is too. I remember marrying my wife via the civil ceremony and the local muslim authority making a fuss over it. We are into our 4th yr of marriage and everything''s is still fine between us. what matters is in your mind. Oh yeah, i remember seeing chinese non- muslim women newscasters wearing headscarves in some arab muslim countries but they still did not forget upon coming back home to eat thier favourite pork dish. i do not mean to offend - just to state as example. you have to make adjustments to keep yourself sane and safe BUT not to make compromises when it comes tofaith. Even to this i am still fighting off sunnis who get in the way. Hopefully one day we too will be accepted . God help us all
