Peace Dear Gentlemen,
I'm sorry to interrupt in your deep conversations but I have to just break the ice a bit.
Look, I will point it out childishly simple.
Everything done in public are a concern for the public and crimes and ill behaviours shall then be punished in public. Because it effects the community and its laws and morals.
Crimes and ill behaviours done in secret are mostly to be punished by God in the way He choose. If there is lets say married persons involved in zina and a spouse have witnessed it or the adulteres has confess about it then the court cannot take up the case in public but with closed doors and solved in form of payments and or also right to get divorce etc.
Islam is not difficult and Quran points it out clearly that it's fully detailed in the way it has to be detailed so to speak.
Again I must say that sister Samia has given you a very simple and clear explanation from Quran.
But still there are people who want to make things more difficult for themselves, dunno why!?
