That was very interesting. I think that there is nothing wrong with engaging in Sunni ways as well as long as the individual sets in their heart the reason why they are engaing in a certain practice. My family is Sunni as well and in order to remain united with them I will follow traditional sunni ways, but with the understanding that I am doing so in an effort to remain united in the love of Allah. The other thing is should the days be consecutive. I know these questions seem basic, but this is my first Ramadan.

I had just started fasting Ramadan according to traditionalist and I found freeminds website. The information presented made sense to me. I have gained understanding, but since I was just beginining my Ramadan fast should I continue it for 30 days, even though I now have an understanding that Ramadan should have occured earlier in the year and only for 10 days or should I just fast the ten days now?
