That's why I keep away from such chemicals. I've been using fluoride free toothpaste for 10 years now, don't drink soft drinks, and use iodine to decalcify the pineal gland and keep it healthy. Daily meditation and unprocessed food is part of my regime.

You must be feeling like neo in matrix if I may draw an analogy . Know that the rut you are feeling is of your own making. You have succumbed to peer pressure and society's code of conduct. Get a degree, get a job, get married, have kids, taken loan , buy property and for the rest of your life work like an ass to pay of the loan to buy the house you never really wanted and you never own. Understand that we are here only for a fleeting movement and be happy with what you have. Take a walk in the park, be curious to explore like a child, awe in wonder of the subtle beauty that is around you, take a vacation and above all always have some me time . Time for you to ponder, introspect and investigate. Nobody should disturb your me time not even your close ones. If it's possible backpack on your own and visit countries that you have not been to. Keep your mind open to different ideas and possibilities. And finally always smile.

Yes, I believe this to be so. So many times in my life, things I have had in my mind have been fortified when the knowledge eventually comes at a later date.
This is no mere coincidence. It is God's way of communicating.

Allah Gives His Guidance to him who strives to be Pure.

202 We have not sent down this Quran unto you to cause difficulty.

People generally feel Quran is difficult to understand and even more so to put whatever they had understood into practice. Allah says He would Guide those who strive to be pure in their heart without recourse to evil ways; and make them course through any demanding situation in the easiest possible manner to the hardest way according to the efforts each one has put to stay pure for Allah without associating partners to Him. If you ask for explanation to an ayat only from Him, the answer comes from your own natural self. Now it is easy for you to practice the ayats in your day to day life. But when an explanation to any particular ayat is got from someone else, know for sure it is not from your own self but from another man's nature which is suitable only for his nature to put it into practice and surely it is the hardest guidance for you for reason it is not your self.

Quran's ayats are suitable for all times, for all men, for all situations, to each person, for all good purposes, and for all persons during each one's varying moods. Thus every ayat is highly individualised to every person throughout his life in his varying moods and situations. Only Allah knows how to deal with such of one's each situation, throughout his life. And hence, seek the guidance from Allah direct, when you recite on ayat, since Allah sends down the revelation to one and all from each one's own natural self which alone shall be easy for a person to practice, individually, all his life. Thus if there are 7 billion people in the world, any single ayat will give 7 billion different variants of a revelation by the moment, and yet, each variant shall not contradict the principal revelation of an ayat. In this way even if the whole sea could be ink and seven more seas are added to it still they would dry up before Allah's words to any single ayat could be completed.

I have a copy of translation. I'd be glad if you could give examples. I consider it among the best translations of the Quran....a lot of thought and analysis went into translating it...and it would be apparent if you read the introduction.

No translation is perfect though...it's all interpretation....but the important thing is to choose a meaning which blends well with the context and the overall message of the book.

I tend to agree.
As a westerner fairly new to the Qur'an, I find it is quite easy to follow.

I agree. I learn and shaped myself from my experiences and then when I find the same thing in AlQuraan I get the answer how to react to such situation. So, my experiences + AlQuraan made me shape up and make me the strong believer in AlQuraan and Allah. I don't think anything can turn me away from my Lord, except only if He wishes for me so.

This is how my believe becomes strong in AlQuraan as I found everything/ every incident happens in my life is already there in AlQuraan.

I know this is an old post/topic, but as I'm still new to my faith, I'm reading lots of previous discussions.
This post is exactly how I'm feeling too. I combine experiences with Qur'an which in turn, solidifies my faith/belief.
As a result, I grow stronger in faith and become a better person.

but you might try to conceal your Faith if it is pointless to reveal it. Calling yourself Muslim is a good thing I think. I do not use another title myself unless I say "I believe in God" without mentioning the word Muslim as it sadly has a negative connotation here.
