Salam Hello Everyone, I've had a question on my mind for a while now and I'd like to come to a better understanding.
Is The Quran only meant for Arabs or All of Mankind?
The Quran 1047 says,
"And for every nation is a messenger. So when their messenger comes, it will be judged between them in justice, and they will not be wronged"
In 144 "And WE have not sent any Messenger except with revelation in the language of his people in order that he might make things clear to them."
As per my understanding I would then ask where is my Messenger if Every Nation Gets a messenger?
Repeated again in 1636
In 548 "For each of you WE prescribed a clear spiritual Law and a manifest way in secular matters"
As per my understand this means all the laws and injunctions were meant for people at the time. Just the Laws and Rules not the actual Spritual Guidance I believe the Guidance in The Reading is Eternal.
In The Quran Chapter 6 156- 157 say "Lest you should say, The Book was sent down only to two peoples before us, and we were indeed unaware of what they read. Or lest you should say, Had the Book been sent down to us, we should surely have been better guided than they.? There has now come to you a clear evidence from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy."
These verses tell me that it is a legitimate Excuse to say that the Quran was not in my own language therefore I could not fully understand The Quran. Not to say we can't get Guidance I'm talking about the more compicated things such as Salat, Hajj, Polygamy, etc....
And in The Quran 26 198-199 "And if WE had sent it down to one of the non-Arabs, and he had read it to them, they would never have believed in it."
This makes sense that the language barrier while not immpossible it is very difficult to come to the perfect interpretation of the scripture. We're talking about a 1000+ year old language. Also again The God states "never" as in not even the people at the time who would later become "Muslims"; or Peaceful as per my understanding, would have believed in it as it is a valid excuse.
The Understanding Of The Quran is so diverse among the people here Some still believe in a Ritual Prayer called Salat some still Fast in the Month of Ramadan and Visit the Black Cube in Makka. Other things such as Polygamy and MMA have caused a stir as well. I've yet to post anything to this forum, but this is a lingering question of mine. I do believe the Quran is from The God and have faith but all of the confusion and misunderstanding is stemmed from the fact that the language is over 1000+ years old. Even Arabs can't understand it the Arabic used in the Quran is non-existent at this point and the best understandings I've come across have been on this very forum and some other books by very less known people. I do think the Quran should be studied and I will continue to try and get a better understanding myself.
Sorry for any Errors and Hopefully The God will help me to a better understanding.
