If you look back in history, Germans were usually the forefront in almost every area of research and development, and are one of if not the most efficient and advanced nations on earth. you really come across as a closed minded bigot sometimes, I see nothing wrong at all if a woman wants to wear the hijab, its her choice and I think it looks good on them actually, as long as they are doing it of their own choice and not threatened, which most arent, then good for them, I dont hear you complaining about how many woman in the free world dress like tramps and whores, does that bother you too or are you ok with with their "self expression and free spiritedness"

Definately interesting reading Tay, but I find it a little harder to accept as genuine knowing that these same people were working together for years as hollywood scriptwriters about the paranormal, ufos, and bigfoot, doesnt mean its not possible, I just doubt the authenticity.

Awesome Buck, same thing i do, there are no mosques within 5 hours of me, so sometimes i still goto the catholic church i went to my entire life, but i dont do communion, and they all look at me funny like why not, you used to do it, but oddly, the priest is the only one who understands, since he came over when he heard i was a muslim and tried to reconvert me, i actually saw the look of shock in his eyes when i debated him on islam versus crhistianity, he was impressed he said of my knowledge of religion, yet i feel im pretty dumb about it, still, i feel its ok for you to seek out the comfort of others, especially in religion since its a dieing faith.

I know it can be frustrating nerspi, but we should just follow the Qurans advice, and it says we should counter evil with doing good, pretty simple, we just have to do good deeds , words, thoughts, and it will counter and defeat the evil in the world, God willing.

Welcome to the forum Khalil, its great to read your story as it reminds me of my conversion, the first time i ever prayed as a muslim I had the words written down in arabic and english and I recited them, but when I got to the Muhammad is the messenger part I couldnt say it, this is before i even heard of Quran alone Islam, it was just instinctive that it didnt seem right to pray that part. As i researched and taught myself I found this sight, been over 5 years now and im still a practicing "muslim", hope to hear more from you.

Welcome to the forum and Islam Buck, pray whenever you want, dont get stuck in ritualistic detail, its good to pray and be consistent and to pray sincerely, dont worry too much about the details, I usually pray in between the hours, not exactly on them, sometimes I can pray 5 times a day, sometimes i miss a few , somedays I dont even pray, I feel bad about it but I just tell GOd im sorry next time I pray and ask him to guide me even closer to him in truth, I think of it like an engine with 5 cylinders, when I pray 5 times I feel like im running on all cylinders and everyhting feels good, sometimes im only running on one or two and I usually feel that way too. Our backgrounds are pretty similar, im a mixed race american born and raised, was catholic for 35 years, didnt like or understand the traditional Islam i was learning then I found GOd alone Quran alone and have felt at home ever since, oh,, I also cry once in awhile when I pray, I just never told anyone. Hope to become friends.

abnun, i like some of your thoughts, but remember, we are Gods vicegerents on earth and the quran says this, it means we are his representatives and given a responsibility for it, it was offered to angels and animals but only man accepted the trust relationship, so we are to use GOd property according to Gods laws, we can own property but we should not hoard or be greedy, we should share and give to the poor, we can create governments and laws but we must try to be a good honest government, and we should not oppress, we should try to help those that are oppressed even, so other governments use arms and weapons to oppress then it would be right for a muslim nation to have arms and weapons to ensure one nation doesnt oppress all the others, Quran says God uses one set of people to keep others in place, God also tells us to follow those with authority among us but not to let them lead us into sin or aggression, and that we should side with the innocents against the agrressor, even if its our own nation. So yes, God is the ultimate sovereign, and we are his representatives while on earth, then we will all be called back to him and judged by what we did on earth, did we use it according to Gods plan or ours.

the problem is much worse than they are saying stan, the entire underground well is broken now, not just a pipe, and the earths crust is also cracked now and you cant fix that, unless you use a nuclear bomb like some experts are saying, there are a few scientists that are saying this is a doomsday event and that millions could die, as far as it being Gods judgement only he knows, I also know GOd forgives if we ask him, so maybe thats what we should be doing.

I wouldnt put too much into this event, the sad thing is that me and my family just drove by this statue, I slowed down so my children and wife could take pictures,, theyre all catholics, and I even told them stories about Jesus after we saw it and we all had a good time, then when I showed them the news today about the fire they were all shocked and upset, my daughter said it was the devil who did it, I said the devil doesnt control the lightning , my other daughter said God controls the lightning, then my daughter said why would God burn jesus, I said he wouldnt, and its just a statue, and even churches, temples, and mosques get struck with lightning, they seemed to understadn but were still sad. So i dont put anything symbolic or premonitory into the event, its just weather.

Katya, theres no muslim organization that can "formally" recognize a prophet or messenger of God, the Quran says God has sent messengers to every people, so buddha could be a messenger sent by God, only GOd knows, does buddhas message sound like it comes from GOd, does it appeal to the good in your conscience, does it inspire you to peace,love, truth, and good deeds, if so then maybe he is. Maybe others are too that we have never heard of. Islam accepts this as true. Also, just because your still struggling with the purpose of creation doesnt mean satan has possessed you, isnt that question the greatest question of all time that mankind has struggled with "why are we here". So dont get down on yourself and dont give up the search and struggle for truth, doubt isnt from satan,, if your moving forward and following the little voice in your head then doubt can be the compass that helps point you in the right direction towards truth.

Thanks Harris, I have researched this too, I do think Jay z is really deep into freemasonry and Illuminatiism, hes pretty open about it in his lyrics, and he is the one whos behind alot of the other hip hop artists that are influenced by him, I doubt that rihanna or beyonce even know what its about but they think its cool or something. But the poin is, ya theyre are alot of evil influences in music and other entertainment industries, in fact i think its a cesspool of sick influences on us all, so we should be very careful as to what we allow our children watch and listen to, but for us adults I think its our responsibility to be aware of these evil influences and to not be affected by them. We should educate ourselves and then listen accordingly. There is evil everywhere but we dont need to hide and run scared from it, we need to expose it, and counter it with doing good, so listen to inspirational or religious music, or political music, or anything with truth and sincerity, dont hide your head in the sand because theres some sickos who are confused out there, I love music, but I wouldnt listen to junk like this.

actually, Hitler did hold religious beliefs, and he was a nominal catholic, and quotes the bible a few times in his books, but he was against the church because of its enormous power over the masses which he felt was being abused. He was also absolutely not into the occult, he hated it and even forbade its practice.
