  • Helping students cheat
    J JavaLatte

The educational system as a whole is pretty corrupt with ridiculous tuition and favoring students with high income background. Most classes are required for students to take them and have no real world significance.

    I can't deny that.

I am not defending cheating here but giving you a background. The fact of the matter is that me personally have no control on how students use the material given to them by tutors. I am being a 100% honest with students (my customers) and providing a product which they are paying for. Hope this makes more sense.

May Allah guide you to choose the right decision regarding this issue. However, if I were you, I possibly choose to stop this kind of business.

    Peace.

In my opinion if you want to say something about me or my research, you should first go and research your self and than make statements that i am careless in shearing information.

I'm sorry if I made wrong opinion about you. Perhaps I should not use the world 'careless'.

I think you started that thread with a good question (the title of that thread). But, then you brought this

The earth is flat, and anyone who disputes this claim is an atheist who deserves to be punished." - Sheik Abdel-Aziz Ibn Baaz, Supreme religious authority, Saudi Arabia

I don't understand why you did that. I think it is not a good idea to put something like that to back up FE. We should not threaten people to believe FE.

Selam,he was talking to bookish, and i do not have to discuss this with him, we share the same view. Peace

But in my opinion, you were rather 'careless' in sharing the information about FE. I think it is good to be careful (e.g. study it carefully first) and selective if you want to share information about FE on this forum.

Don't you know that there are FE shills?

Nice Hp Tech. i have created a thread do we believe Allah or scientists and NASA and most people who post there do not believe in a flat earth, even if Quran says that Allah spread the earth like a carpet, there is not any mention of a round world in Quran and other scriptures say the same story. I am very happy we share the same view.

By the way, if you still insist to continue your thread that discuss about FE, I suggest you to have two way discussion with HP_TECH about this issue, perhaps you both could use PM.

I think this young brother (HP_TECH) is a real/sincere scientist, and I hope you both could have good mutual discussion.

I don't know what's your problem with me @ Timotheus?

I somehow feel like being your target of criticism.

Just like what you did on this thread. http//free-minds.org/forum/index.php?topic=9597766.msg390721#msg390721

You said things to me which I don't even understand why you told those things to me, because for me what you were saying to me are irrelevant to my short statements on that thread. I just wrote simple statements but you come to give me quite long advise about other things which I think not suitable to be directed toward my simple statements (or as if I was writing something wrong).

god tells us to avoid suspicion, because it can be sin.
he also tells us to verify things for ourselves.

In my understanding, Allah teaches me to avoid much suspicions (please notice the word "much&quot, and for me, it doesn't mean that I am forbidden from having suspicion at all. If the scams/frauds do not often happen on the internet, then perhaps I do not need to be suspicious on such post above.

Am I wrong if I ask for more proofs/evidences of their works when I don't even know this guy and from where he's actually come from? What I know is that scam often happens on the internet, and I think that being careful is not something wrong.

    Peace.

  • I OBEY ONLY THE QURAN
    J JavaLatte

I want to obey my Creator, because I think this basic principle has been strongly 'implanted' in me. My Creator is my Master and I have to obey Who created me, this is my basic principle.

The Qur'an is not God, but I think/feel that my Creator guides me to accept the Qur'an as my guidance book. But, like what I said in my other post

I accept the Qur'an as guidance book because my Rabb guided/guides me to accept it. If my Creator shows me that the Qur'an is wrong, I do not want to hesitate to reject it immediately.

The Qur'an is not my Creator, but as long as my Creator guides me to accept the Qur'an, then I want to accept the Qur'an as the guidance book to live my life.

People might accuse me as kafir or ignorant because of what I think or because of what I believe or because of what I said/did, but my Rabb is my Witness that I want to be a good person - because I know that the right path is by being good person. I cannot count how many times the negative/bad words being directed at me either in real life or at online discussion/talk. And among the reasons why I love Allah is because He never treated me similar like those people treated me. He taught/teaches me with His kindness.

And even if I'm a foolish, I still want to be a good person. But what is actually a good person? This is what I'm still learning and I feel that my Creator also wants me to be a good person. I know that I'm not perfect, but I have no wish at all to be a bad person. If someday I return to my Creator, I hope He will accept me and forgive me.

You seem disappointed/upset if there are people (like me) who reject the Bible. I reject the Bible because my Creator does not guide me to accept the Bible as my guidance book, thus I reject it. I think my Creator also does not guide me to regard the Bible as something equal as Torah, Zabur and Injeel.

So, if there is an issue in which you do not find and answer/guidance in Quran; Example how to sacrifice and bleed an animal, sodomites, abortion, kidnapping, rape, etc.; then, obey the Quran, and go look for guidance in the Torah.

So you have such thinking. Do you think the Qur'an is not enough as your guidance book (thus you still need Torah to guide you)?

go look for guidance in the Torah.

You cannot force your understanding on others.

I think you behaved as if you have the right to rule/order us.

Honestly, if people like you have authority to govern us, I'm afraid that you would be unfair to us.

    Peace.

i think this is rather idealistic, and not nessessarily true.

    What is "this"?

May I know what you refer to as "rather idealistic"?

The reason why I like huruf's statement above is because it happened in my life Allah gives me what is/are better (or even much better, insha'Allah) after I experienced loses and grieves in the past, praise be to my Rabb. We should trust Him and should not lose hope even if the situation seem hopeless (very difficult).

Anyway, my personal case was not exactly similar with what happened to a thread starter (ibelieveinitonly, I hope she's alright now), and I still have to continue to trust Allah and strive for my next dreams.

This life is a test, not a hollywood movie.

Of course. I'm not a fan of hollywood movies. I dislike many of the movies (either hollywood, bollywood, korean, etc).

Don't loose heart or hope or faith, sister. God doesn't take something from us but to give us better things, only we may not be prepared to see them, but they will be there.

It will be ok sister IBI, I know it hurts now but you will get better, just keep praying and have patience, God will take care of you, he places no burden on a soul that it can not bare, and also remember that a thing that you think may be good for you may actually be harmful, and what you think may be harmful, may actually be good, God knows and you dont, so just patiently persevere with prayer sister, you will come out better and happier eventually, you soul mate may be just around the corner, in the meantime, I too will say a prayer for you. God willing.

@ Adam The Warner & The Guided One

I think you both should do this handshake

How can we expect WORLD PEACE if we (ourselves) fight one another in our community?

How many members retreat (gone) from this forum because of 'unhealthy atmosphere' that often occurred on this forum?

I think this forum have lost its valuable members - and this is great loss, and I think the reason that caused it is because we still not truly follow the messages in the Qur'an. We still have lack of tolerance, lack of respect, lack of caring, lack of kindness, lack of brotherhood during the discussions, and the result is the less peaceful (or non peaceful) environment.

We should start to uphold peace in our own 'home'. How can we expect world peace if we ourselves do not start it in our own place/environment? Applying good values (tolerance, respect, etc) is important in order to have peaceful environment. I did not realize this in the past (I often had quarrels, I had lack of tolerance) - and recently I started to come to this realization, I think it has came the time for me to change myself regarding this, and I hope the others will also realize this.

    Peace.

Perhaps Janet and truthseeker11 have pretty compatible views, I suppose they probably get along well with each other.

Let us not try to guide the ones who are leaving Islam, let us guide the ones who are guided by Al Lah and became Muslim.

The truth is we (humans) cannot guide anyone. We can advise other people to obey Allah. We can invite people to follow the true path, but we cannot guide them, not even one.

Who are the ones who you call Quranphobes?

Quranophobes. I refer to those who later against (critizice) the Qur'an, while previously they supported the Qur'an. I found that someone can be a passionate atheist while in the past this same person supported the Qur'an passionately. Quite 'amazing'.

People could believe me or not, but I will share my thought even after we think that we've found "God alone path" (or "Qur'an alone path" or "Quranist path" - whatever you call it), it doesn't mean that we instantly pass the test and thus "saved", no, because we will still face/continue with our tests (e.g. our loyalty to God still continue to be tested). Until when? I don't really know - perhaps until we die.

What do you think about ex-muslims who became islamophobes.

That's not really weird. On this forum, I think I found members who became 'Quranophobes', perhaps after they realized that the Qur'an is not in harmony with so called "modern science".

I believe that Buddhism, Hinduism and other religions subscribe to this theory

    I don't follow their religions.

In my view, Buddhism and Hinduism are not the right path, they're "vague" paths. If I follow as such, as if I follow something unclear and have no strong foothold. But I'm not someone who has authority to say "You're wrong to follow Buddhism". I think every human has right to follow/choose any belief - as well as bearing the consequences.

As for me, I want to follow the true path. I accept the Qur'an as guidance book because my Rabb guided/guides me to accept it. If my Creator shows me that the Qur'an is wrong, I do not want to hesitate to reject it immediately.

and I prefer to keep an open mind.

I prefer to keep open mind to accept the truth and I choose to close my door from accepting falsehood.

What my Rabb teaches me is that the path of truth is basically one, and that this path is "straight" (righteous).

There is nothing unfair about 'karma' since it's meant to balance out one's wrong doing...

Can you point out where in any of my previous posts in this thread where I mentioned the word "karma"? I believe you can't.

The truth is I did not say that 'karma' is unfair.

I never claimed anywhere in this thread (even in this forum) that karma is unfair. Never I claimed such thing.

Karma is other different thing than reincarnation, I say. I don't want to mix those two without enough consideration.

It's alright to not agree on this.

I prefer to say... it is acceptable to agree or disagree on this forum. I am not here to convince other to follow/agree with me.
