Were you able to raise money to fund your movies/documentaries?

I weren't able to raise money here in Slovenia for such a movie about islam because i wanna shoot it in Hollywood for several reasons

1. Bigger movie industry.
2. Bigger audience.
3. More money (and therefore more means to help the poor and needy)
4. Quality.

Sure, i could make a small movie about islam and muslims today in Slovenia but it just wouldn't grab that many people and the message of the TRUE Islam would be lost and the sunnis here would probably stone me.

I wanna make movies and the ones that are about islam, the REAL Islam, would be such movies where i wouldn't wanna make sunnis, shi'a or whabais angry. I also don't wanna make non-muslims angry.

There was a guy from Holland who made a movie about Islam but he was only showing that muslims beat their women and oppress them and later someone killed that director. His name was Van Gogh, i think, you can check on IMDb.com.

As soon as i get to Hollywood, insha'Allah, i will start making plans about this movie and i hope and pray o Allah that it will bring the right message of us, who follow Qur'an alone and that it won't make anyone angry.

I'm a producer and it would be great to develop programming that isn't to lying to people profit(I use to produce news). this is super exciting, so I would like to volunteer and help however I can.

I would suggest coming to hollywood north instead, Canada is a great cheap copy, so many huge films have been made here ( happy gilmore,resident evil, fantastic four, brokeback mountain, capote, Legends of the Fall...)
especially Toronto or Vancouver. And you're close enough to have access to the American market. The toronto international film festival is only second to Cannes. There is also money to shoot here, because we are dying to compete with the Americans.
Have you considered making co-production?? you may not have to go anywhere if there's a great story to be told in slovenia.
Canada will invest in films shot abroad too, you would just have to justify why a canadian audience would want it.

I understand what you mean. It is difficult finding a place to pray in the daytime and when you do find a corner you can never fully concentrate and take your time. It isn't about rushing an empty ritual. It is a personal connection with God that has to come from your heart and soul and 2458 tells us when our private times are.

Not exactly. I'm trying different things in order to figure out what is "correct." I perform the positions in the order they were prescribed and recite the few things I've committed to memory--Chapter 1, some of Abraham's prayers, the tashahund (not the one with Muhammed). Once in the sitting position between sujuds, I meditate on the letters at the beginning of the chapters(usually Alif, Lam, Mim). Then I read aloud a few verses at a time from the Quran. I spend just over ten minutes. I have no idea how many 'rakas' I do now.

I have been grappling with this issue since I reverted three months ago- Pray three? Pray five? Pray two?

Personally, I think it?s about your intention.

I perform three ritual prayers-before sunrise, mid-afternoon, and at night.

11114 And you shall hold the communion at the two edges of the day, during the near parts of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember.

I believe that Contact-Prayer is more than prayers but rather a way of life, and the actual ritual I carry with me throughout the day as a tool to acknowledge that I couldn't be doing/seeing/hearing or anything if it weren't by God's Grace. He should be honoured and remembered constantly for that. It?s impossible to do, but it?s worth a shot.

And this is why I pray three times--I know this verse is referring to three private times but for me living in a town where there is no mosque-prayer is a private because I am alone.

2458 O you who believe, let those who are committed to you by oath, and those who have not yet attained puberty, request your permission regarding three times before the dawn communion, and when you put off your attire from the noon time, and after the evening communion. These are three private times for you. Other than these times, it is not wrong for you or them to intermingle with one another. God thus clarifies the revelations for you. And God is Knowledgeable, Wise.

I've come to accept that submission is to trust and seek guidance from the One who Knows. My opinion is when divisions/modifications pollute a spiritual system, the contact-prayers are lost. Jews and Christians don't really have them-at least in their original form. The development of the hadiths and sects, I think first took its tool on the Salaat and infected other aspects of the system (eg. Hijab, Dogs being Haraam etc). It?s great that we?re all trying to learn.
