To live long life could be difficult in our comprehension, so don't frame it to your perspective while you live in modern era.. Quran stated that those who are Yahudi wished each to have 1000 years of life span... So. It depends.. After all, how can one live forever even in Janna as long as earth and heavens last,.. jīm rā yā ...this word has a meaning of Sail / flow / move etc but when added contextually it can mean anything.. So when it is connected with Sea it may mean ship.. If connected with air it can mean anything.. Just like the above verse 4232 abd 6911.

Yes.. Brother.. Let's consider only what is mentioned in Quran and Allah has not mentioned about his family's surviving years..

It's so cruel to live for so many years and witness the passing of all loved ones. Why has he been granted such a long life? What is the purpose behind it? He built his "Ark" while his family was alive, unlike the stories from the Torah and Bible where it's written that he built the Ark with the help of fallen angels.

As you mentioned, only Noah is mentioned with this "lifespan," not his people or family ( not his Qawmi, aal or Ahl). So, think about that.

Noah's son wanted fled to a mountain, but it doesn't specify which mountain, just any mountain. It doesn't matter if the mountain is large or small; he's simply fleeing to a mountain.

There isn't a single Arabic word for the Ark. The word "Al-fulk" in the Quran is plural (while "al-falak" is singular). So, what was Noah building?

Furthermore, there isn't a single proof that the Torah is original; its origin is a mystery. The Talmud states that Moses wrote it, but the Quran is clear about it... It was given to Musa , same as al-Injeel , it was injeel, then ask your self and be sincere ....

WHO WROTE the BIBLE(S) and ask also which bible and check which language is the orginal bible ..

i.e we were dead before we were created as humans can only mean that we existed before.

Great points, but I don’t think you understand the OP’s anxiety around somethings. For instance, if God already knows that we’ll mess up why does He create us in such a way that most of us will end up in hell?!

Also, the point about angels does not apply. They have no option but to obey God. They have no choice in this matter. Humans and Jinn on the other hand have the choice, but this choice makes them more likely to falter. We’re not wise at all. We make mistakes and learn from them. We’re not saints or angels who won’t make mistakes and misjudgments. In fact, we learn most from mistakes and that lesson is more lasting.

All translators have used the words ?smiled? or ?laughed? or ?amused? for translation of this verse because it is based on the Arabic root word which means ?He smiled? So the word means smile (or pleasure/amusement).
