A friend of mine had been living in United States for about 9 years. He came here with an Investor Visa. That meant he had to prove to the Department of State, every 2 years, that he was making enough revenue for the country. Otherwise, the United States Department of State wouldn't renew his status. He had renewed his status without any problem, every 2 years. However, he hadn't seen his family overseas and decided to go visit. He knew he would have to apply for an E-2 Visa for him to be able to come back, but since his status had been checked and approved just last year, here in the United States, he thought he wouldn't face a problem. However, he was denied a Visa.
He thinks he was treated very unfairly. He has already appealed, to no avail. He has done nothing wrong, but the consulate overseas says he is not making enough revenue for the country, even though he pays all his taxes and bills, plus has always worked very hard, and had many american employees, etc.
This is the question Due to his great payments history, he has many thousand dollars worth in credit. Is it considered theft if he just charged the of credit cards, knowing he is not going to pay the bill?
He is confused because he thinks he was treated unfailry, and a right to revenge is allowed in the Quran. However, if he does it, he won't be getting back at the country he believes treated him wrong, but to the credit cards' owners, right?
What should we advise him?
